  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 １（ａ）ガイドレールを有する筐体と、該筐体内を被測
    定物と連動して前記ガイドレールに沿って移動するスラ
    イダと、前記スライダに搭載されたロータリエンコーダ
    と、前記筐体内に張設されて前記ロータリエデコーダの
    駆動プーりと接触する索条とで構成され、前記エンコー
    ダと前記索条との間の相対的直線変位を回転変位に変換
    して所定変位量毎にパルス信号を出力するスケール本体
    と、 （ｂ） 前記ロータリエンコーダからの出力パルスを
    計数して被測定物の直線変位量をデジタル表示する表示
    部。 とから成ることを特徴どするリニアスケール。 ２ 実用新案登録請求の範囲第１項に記載のスライダは
    、被測定物と連動する第１スライダ部と、前記ロータエ
    ンコーダを搭載し前記ガイドレールに沿って移動する第
