are the upper and lower floors of the passenger conveyor, 3 is a parapet installed across the upper and lower floors 2 and erected on both sides of the main frame 1, 4 is a deck installed at the base of the parapet 3, and 5 is a A metal balustrade frame with a U-shaped cross section that forms the outer peripheral edge of the balustrade 3, which includes a U-shaped groove 5a provided on the inner periphery, an outer peripheral surface 5b, and an outer peripheral surface 5b.
It is provided with internal screws 5c provided at appropriate intervals, the lower end of which is appropriately fixed to the main frame 1 within the deck 4. Reference numeral 6 denotes a panel made of a glass plate, the outer peripheral edge of which is held in the U-shaped groove 5a of the balustrade frame 5 via a cushioning material (not shown), and the lower part is held in the main frame 1. 7 is the outer peripheral surface 5b of the parapet frame 5
7a is a belt-shaped guide made of synthetic resin or the like with a small coefficient of friction, 7a is a countersunk mounting hole provided at the same interval as the female thread 5c of the balustrade frame 5, and 8 is a fastener made of a countersunk screw. As shown in the figure, the guide 7 is fastened to the outer peripheral surface 5b of the balustrade frame 5. Reference numeral 9 indicates an endless moving handrail having a C-shaped cross section, 9a indicates a groove portion of the moving handrail 9, and 9b
Similarly, 9c is the abdomen, and 9c is the ear, and the width of the groove 9a is designed to be slightly larger than the thickness of the guide 7.
The movable handrail 9 is loosely guided by the guide 7 and is driven in the same direction and at the same speed as a step (not shown) on which a passenger rides.

However, since the guide 7 is made of synthetic resin, it is susceptible to increases in outside temperature and absorption of moisture in the air. When you
It expands beyond the metal parapet frame 5, and as shown in FIG. 4, the intermediate portions of the fasteners 8, 8 protrude outward in a chevron shape. As a result, the guide 7 comes into strong contact with the abdomen 9b and the ears 9c of the movable handrail 9. If the movable handrail 9 is driven for a long time in this state, the guide 7 or the abdomen 9b and ear portion 9c of the movable handrail 9 will wear out and require early replacement, or generate heat, and the movable handrail 9 will be driven. A large load is placed on the device (not shown), and there is a risk of damage.

構造としなければならなくなる。 The influence of the running resistance due to the contact between the guide 7 and the moving handrail 9 is greatest at the curved part where the moving handrail 9 reverses as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, so the running resistance in this part is kept low and constant. This will require a special structure.

記以外は第1図〜第4図と同様である。 In the figure, reference numeral 10 indicates a band-shaped curved guide made of synthetic resin or the like having a small coefficient of friction and is cut to a length corresponding to the portion where the handrail 9 is reversed. The vertical sunken part 10b and the sloped part 10c have long dish-shaped mounting holes.
It is formed along the longitudinal direction of the guide 10. Reference numeral 11 denotes an irregularly shaped washer, which forms a sliding element together with the mounting hole 10a, has a sloped part 11a that closely contacts the sloped part of the mounting hole 10a, and a countersunk hole 11b into which the fastener 8 is inserted, and has a substantially square shape. 5th
As shown in FIGS. 7 to 7, the guide 10 is fastened to the balustrade frame 5 by fasteners 8. As shown in FIGS. The dimensions of each part are designed so that almost no pressure is applied to the inclined part 10c of the guide 10 and the inclined part 11a of the irregularly shaped washer 11 during this fastening. Note that everything other than the above is the same as in FIGS. 1 to 4.

1, and are fastened to each other so that almost no fastening pressure is generated. Therefore, when the temperature of the guide 10 increases or when it absorbs moisture in the air and expands, the guide 10 moves in the longitudinal direction at the attachment hole 10a and always comes into contact with the balustrade frame 5.

装置の損傷を防止することができる。 As explained above, in this invention, the guide arranged on the outer peripheral edge of the balustrade frame is provided with a widening elongated hole whose cross section spreads toward the guide surface side, and has an inclined part corresponding to the sloped part of the elongated hole. The odd-shaped washer was placed in the elongated hole, the odd-shaped washer was fastened to the balustrade frame with a fastener, and the guide was movably attached to the balustrade frame via the odd-shaped washer, so the guide could not be damaged by temperature rise or humidity in the air. Even if it expands, it does not separate from the parapet frame, reducing running resistance of the moving handrail and preventing damage to the guide, moving handrail, and drive device.
