Abstract

PURPOSE:To securely and easily seal the heat pipe inserted section from outside the heat exchanger by a method wherein the packing mounted on the heat pipe inserted section of the partition wall is thrusted through a tubular member inserted into the heat pipe. CONSTITUTION:The heat exchanger 1 has an intermediate chambers 3 and 4 on both sides of the chamber 2 so that different kinds of fluids flow into the chambers 3 and 4 for the exchange of heat. For assembly, the end covers 7 and 12 of the fluid chambers 3 and 4 are removed and the heat pipe 14 having the packings 17, 17, the tubular member 18 and the packings 17, 17 inserted into the intermediate part thereof is inserted into the fluid chamber by a length of about 1/2 from outside the partition wall 6. After that, the fluid chamber 4 is moved toward the fluid chamber 3 along th4e axial direction so that the heat pipe 14 enters the hold 11a in the partition wall 11 and then the partition walls 6 and 11 are tightened with bolts 20. As a result, the packings 17, 17 are thrusted by the end surface of the tubular member 18 to be kept in a predetermined air-tight condition. Finally, the rear end covers 7 and 12 are attached to the fluid chamber 3 and 4.

This heat exchanger includes a fluid chamber arranged on both sides of an intermediate chamber,
It consists of a plurality of heat pipes that penetrate two partition walls forming an intermediate chamber and extend to both fluid chambers. By making the pressure in the intermediate chamber lower than the pressure in both fluid chambers, if leakage occurs from the penetrating portion of the partition wall, the structure is configured so that the leakage occurs from the fluid chamber to the small to medium chamber, and the drain in the intermediate chamber This is intended to detect i#Ii leakage.

With this configuration, the two fluids are completely separated in the intermediate chamber, so the two fluids do not mix. However, because many heat pipes pass through the two partition walls that form the intermediate chamber, this There are disadvantages such as a lot of effort is required to seal the penetration part, and maintenance and inspection are also complicated.
This improvement was desired.
