Abstract

PURPOSE:To drive plural terminal devices from an electronic exchange by using the electronic exchange and an optical signal propagated in space for data transmission between terminal devices added to the exchange thereby having only to increase terminal devices. CONSTITUTION:In transmitting a data from an electronic exchange 1 to a terminal device 6, a central controller 3 transmits an electric signal by using a light transmission/reception device 21. The light transmission/reception device 21 converts the electric signal into a light signal and a light emitting section 22 irradiates the light signal in space. The light is detected by a photodetecting section 26 of the light transmission/reception device 24, which converts the light signal into an electric signal and the result is transmitted to a control circuit 8 of the terminal device 6. On the other hand, in transmitting a data from the control circuit 8 of the terminal device 6 to the electronic exchange 1, an electric signal is transmitted to the light transmission/reception device 24 from the control circuit 8, the signal is converted into a light signal at the device 24 and the light from the light emitting section 27 is irradiated in space toward the photodetection section 23 of the light transmission/reception device 21.

However, with this configuration, the installation location of the terminal equipment is inconvenient due to cable restrictions, and when multiple terminal equipment are installed, it is necessary to install input/output terminals on the electronic exchange side for the number of terminal equipment required. It was uneconomical because it had to be prepared in advance.

(Object of the Invention) The object of the present invention is to transmit data between an electronic exchange and a terminal device attached to the electronic exchange by using an optical signal that propagates in space. Terminal equipment that sends and receives data using a data transmission system that eliminates the limitations of optical signals and allows multiple terminal equipment to be driven by simply increasing the number of terminal equipment within the reach of optical signals. , a means for converting an electrical signal into an optical signal and a means for converting an optical signal into an electrical signal are provided on the electronic exchange side, and a means for converting an electrical signal into an optical signal and a means for converting an optical signal into an electrical signal are provided on the terminal device side. A data transmission method is obtained, characterized in that the data transmission method is characterized in that a means is provided, and data is transmitted between the electronic exchange and the terminal device using an optical signal that propagates in space.

When transmitting data from the electronic exchange 1 to the multi-terminal device 6, an electrical signal is sent from the central control device 3 to the optical transceiver 21. The optical transceiver 21 converts the electrical signal into an optical signal, and the light emitting section 22 emits the optical signal into space. This light is detected by the light receiving section 26 of the optical transceiver 24, which converts the optical signal into an electrical signal L/4 and transmits it to the control circuit 8 of the terminal device 6.

On the other hand, when transmitting data from the control circuit 8 of the terminal device 6 to the simulator switch 1, the control circuit 8 sends an electrical signal to the optical transceiver 24, and the optical transceiver 24 converts the electrical signal into an optical signal. The light emitting section 27 emits light toward the light receiving section 23 of the optical transceiver 21 into space. On the electronic exchange side, the light receiving section 2
3 detects the optical signal, converts the optical signal into an electrical signal, and transmits it to the central controller 3.
