ロアシヤフトを回転可能に軸支して車体の一部に
支持するロアチユーブおよびこれに所定量傾動可
能に組付けられ前記アツパシヤフトを回転可能に
軸支するアツパチユープからなるコラムチユーブ
と、このコラムチユーブにおける前記両チユーブ
のいずれか一方に固定的に設けたラチエツト、い
ずれか他方に揺動可能に設けられ前記ラチエツト
の円弧状歯部に弾撥的かつ係脱可能に噛合するボ
ールおよび回動時このボールと係合してその前記
ラチエツトに対する噛合を解除する解除レバーか
らチルト機構を備えた車両用チルトステアリング
装置において、前記ラチエツトおよびポールの一
側に沿つて延びるプレート部と同ラチエツトの円
弧状歯部の一部外周を覆う円弧状カバー部とを有
してなり前記円弧状歯部に対向してこれと係脱可
能に噛合する歯部を備え前記両チユーブの枢着部
に回転可能かつ一側に沿つて移動可能に組付けら
れて前記円弧状歯部に弾撥的に噛合するカバープ
レートと、このカバープレートの一側に固設され
て側方に向けて突出する係合ピンと、前記解除レ
バーと同軸的に組付けられて回動時前記係合ピン
と係合して前記カバープレートの前記ラチエツト
に対する噛合を解除する第２の解除レバーと、前
記解除レバーにこれと一体回転可能かつ側方へ揺
動可能に組付けられ揺動時前記第２の解除レバー
と係合してこれら両解除レバーを一体回転可能に
連結するプツシユレバーを備えたことを特徴とす
