Claims (1)
可変制御するエアバルブと、内燃機関の所定の温
度範囲で該温度に比例的に膨縮するワツクスペレ
ツトを封入したケースと、前記エアバルブを全開
方向に付勢しつつ該エアバルブを前記ケースから
出没自在に突出させたプランジヤの先端に向つて
摺動付勢するリターンスプリングと、を備えてな
り、機関温度の上昇に基づくワツクスペレツトの
膨張にともなつてプランジヤの突出量を増大させ
ることにより、リターンスプリングに抗してエア
バルブを全閉側に移動させてバイパス通路を介し
て供給される吸気の流量を減小させるように構成
したワツクスペレツト式のエアレギユレータにお
いて、前記リターンスプリングを、ワツクスペレ
ツトの膨張によつて正常時にエアバルブを全閉さ
せる機関温度より高い所定温度以上のときはエア
バルブを引張して全閉させる長さに収縮し、所定
の温度より低いときはエアバルブを開方向に付勢
する長さに伸張するよう特性付けられた双方向型
形状記憶合金製のコイルスプリングで構成すると
共に、該リターンスプリングの端部を前記エアバ
ルブと該エアビルブの全閉側に配設されているス
プリングガイドとにそれぞれ伸縮方向に移動不能
に係合保持させたことを特徴とする内燃機関のワ
