    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. ＴＮ液晶セルの前後面に全面に偏光子を持つ偏
    光板を配設した液晶表示装置において、前記ＴＮ
    液晶セルの形成時に一方の透明基板の所定領域を
    、メツシユ模様など常用パターンの模様に相当す
    る開口が形成されたマスクを用いて、他の領域の
    配向方向と直交する方向にラビングする一方、前
    記両偏光板を平行または直交ニコルの組み合わせ
    としたことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
