Conventionally, a double rolling mill, a four-fold rolling mill, a six-fold rolling mill, or a Sendzimer mill has been widely used for rolling metal plates. These rolling mills each roll a specific material and are configured to be suitable for mass production. For example, 2 using relatively large diameter rolls.
Heavy or quadruple rolling mills use foil, stainless steel,
It is unsuitable for rolling difficult-to-process materials such as electromagnetic steel and high-strength steel. That is, double or quadruple these materials.
When rolling with a heavy rolling mill, high tension is required, which tends to cause sheet breakage, resulting in poor work efficiency and high production costs. Therefore, conventionally, difficult-to-process materials such as those described above have been rolled using special rolling mills such as Sendzimer mills equipped with cluster rolls.

By the way, installing rolling mills according to the type of rolling material as described above requires a lot of equipment cost and installation space, and is extremely wasteful.

As shown in the drawings, the housing 1 is the same as that of a conventional quadruple rolling mill. The work rolls consist of a work roll 3 with a cluster roll 2 on the upper side and a single work roll that is replaced with this roll 3 (not shown) depending on the material to be rolled, and a lower side with a single work roll 6. It's summery. The cluster roll 2 consists of a small-diameter work roll 3 and three back-up rolls 5 that support the small-diameter work roll 3 from the back side, that is, from above, via two intermediate rolls 4. The cluster roll 2 is rotatably supported by a chock 7, and the work roll 6 is rotatably supported by a chock 8. The backup roll 5 of the cluster roll 2 is divided into a plurality of sections along the axial direction, and the shaft portion between adjacent sections is supported by the chock 7. Therefore, the back-up roll 5 is supported by the chock 7 at multiple points, and its rigidity is increased so that the small-diameter work roll 3 can be firmly supported.

In the state shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the strip S is rolled by the small-diameter work roll 3 of the cluster roll 2 and the lower work roll 6. At this time, the cluster roll 2 is not driven, but
The lower work roll 6 is rotationally driven by a motor (not shown) via a drive shaft 13.

Small-diameter work rolls are advantageous for rolling difficult-to-process materials, but if both the top and bottom are small-diameter work rolls, it is dimensionally difficult to connect the large-diameter drive shaft used for large-diameter work rolls to the small-diameter rolls. be. Therefore, in this invention, as mentioned above, the lower work roll is left as a driving roll, the upper work roll is left undriven, and the diameter is set as small as possible so that the equivalent roll diameter Deq (=2D 1 D 2 /( D 1 +
D 2 ), D 1 and D 2 are the work roll diameters, respectively, are made as small as possible. Further, when the diameter of the work roll is made small, the lateral rigidity decreases, so the cluster roll structure is used as described above, and the small diameter work roll is supported by a plurality of back-up rolls.

When rolling a regular material that is not difficult to work as described above, a single work roll (not shown) having the same diameter as the lower part is used in place of the cluster roll 2. A drive shaft 14 is connected to the upper work roll, and both the upper and lower work rolls are rotationally driven to perform rolling.

To replace the cluster roll 2 with a single work roll, the work roll 6 is separated from the drive shaft 13, and the cluster roll chock 7 and lower work roll chock 8 are assembled together with the roll attached to the rail 15. Pull it out of the housing 1 along the The upper cluster roll chock 7 is then removed and replaced with a single work roll chock. Then, the upper and lower work roll jocks are pushed together into the housing 1 and fixed.

Here, in the rolling mill configured as described above, when rolling is performed using work rolls having different diameters on the upper and lower sides, desirable rolling conditions will be described.

In the cold strip rolling mills currently in practical use, rolling is performed with the diameter ratio of the upper and lower work rolls being approximately 1.0. Therefore, the warpage of the strip that occurs when the diameter ratio increases is not so large. Therefore, by finely adjusting the inlet and outlet angles using the inlet and outlet angle adjustment rolls installed immediately before and after the rolling mill, the narrowing of the plate at the input side of the rolling mill and the narrowing of the plate at the outlet side of the rolling mill can be achieved. It was possible to sufficiently prevent vertical stripes (cross buckles).

ところが、ロール直径比が1.5以上になると板

とは困難である。
However, when the roll diameter ratio is 1.5 or more, the warpage of the strip becomes large, and it is difficult to obtain a good strip with a small warpage only by making minute adjustments to the inlet and exit angles.

このような場合、第3図に示すように、圧延機

In such a case, as shown in Fig. 3, the strip S is bent toward the small-diameter work roll 3 on the inlet side of the rolling mill so as to be inclined by α, and the strip S is bent toward the large-diameter work roll 6 on the outlet side. It is desirable to roll the plate with an inclination of β. Suitable inclination angles are 0°<α<30° and 0°<β<60°. By rolling at an angle in this way, it is possible to prevent the sheet from narrowing and warping, and also to obtain a strip with a good shape without elongation in the middle or edges. This also has the effect of making the plastic deformation easier and reducing the rolling load.

The inclination angles α and β are adjusted by adjusting devices 16 and 17, which are a combination of a roller and a hydraulic cylinder that raises and lowers the roller.

As explained in detail above, depending on the material to be rolled, cluster rolls including small-diameter work rolls and large-diameter single work rolls can be exchanged, so one rolling mill can handle various types of rolled materials. It is possible to roll. Therefore, equipment costs and installation space can be reduced. Furthermore, since the cluster roll yoke is supported by the back up roll, the reinforcement of the small diameter work roll becomes even stronger. Furthermore, since the single work roll chock and the cluster roll chock are replaced, the present invention can be easily applied to existing rolling mills, making it extremely practical.
