書記憶部、５は認識文字出力部である。なお、図
中同一符号は同一、または相当部分を示す。

    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. 手書き文字を入力する文字パターン入力部と、
    該文字パターン入力部より入力された文字パター
    ンより特徴を抽出する特徴抽出部と、標準文字パ
    ターンの特徴を記憶する辞書記憶部と、入力文字
    の特徴と前記辞書記憶部に登録された認識対象文
    字の特徴とを比較して入力文字を判定する認識部
    と認識結果を出力する出力部よりなるオンライン
    手書き文字認識装置において、この手書き文字認
    識装置が接続されるシステムの機能キヤラクタの
    キーコードに特定のシンボルを割り当てるととも
    に、前記シンボルの標準パターンを辞書記憶部内
    に登録し、前記文字パターン入力部に入力された
    文字パターンが前記シンボルであると認識された
    ときに該当する機能キヤラクタのキーコードを前
    記出力部に出力をすることを特徴とするオンライ
    ン手書き文字認識装置。
