Conventionally, a fluorescent light blinking control device has been used to blink a fluorescent light each time according to a blinking control signal. Therefore, if the above-mentioned blinking is performed for a short period of time, the life of the fluorescent light will be significantly shortened. For example, one of the consumable parts in a facsimile machine is a fluorescent light. Frequently repeating this blinking of the fluorescent light will shorten the life of the fluorescent light, but it is desirable to extend the life of the fluorescent light as much as possible.

In view of the above points, the present invention aims to extend the lifespan of fluorescent lamps. That is, instead of making the fluorescent light blink each time in response to a blinking control signal that is frequently input, the fluorescent light does not blink even if a light-off and light-on signal is input within a certain period of time after the light-on signal is input. The fluorescent light is turned on continuously, and a light-off signal is output, and the fluorescent light is turned off after a certain period of time.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
The figure is a block diagram showing an embodiment of the lighting control circuit according to the present invention. In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes a fluorescent light provided in a reading section of a facsimile device, for example, and this fluorescent light is turned on by a lighting circuit 2 including a ballast, a switch, and the like. 3 is a drive circuit for turning on the switch of the lighting circuit 2 and blinking the fluorescent light 1; the switch of the lighting circuit 2 is turned ON and OFF by a drive signal from the OR gate 4;
let Reference numeral 5 denotes a timer circuit which presets (resets) its operation by inputting a control signal 6, and is activated when the control signal 6 falls (OFF) to turn off the fluorescent lamp 1. The control signal 6 is also input to one input terminal of the OR gate 4, and the output signal of the timer circuit 5 is applied to the other input terminal of the OR gate 4. However, a signal is output when the timer circuit 5 is activated. Therefore, the OR gate 4 applies the signal of the lighting signal (ON) period of the control signal 6 and the signal within the set time of the timer circuit to the drive circuit 3 as a drive signal.

In the above configuration, if the control signal 6 is an ON signal (lighting signal) for lighting the fluorescent lamp 1, the driving signal is inputted to the driving circuit 3 via the OR gate 4. As a result, the switch of lighting circuit 2 is turned on.
Turns on and fluorescent light 1 lights up. Then, when the control signal 6 is inverted from ON to OFF, the lighting circuit 2 is immediately turned OFF and the fluorescent light 1 is turned off. However, in the present invention, by inverting the above-mentioned OFF signal, the timer circuit 5
is activated and a drive signal is input to the drive circuit 3 via the OR gate 4. Therefore, the switch of the lighting circuit 2 remains ON, and the fluorescent light 1 remains lit. After the set time of the timer circuit 5 has elapsed, the drive signal is no longer applied to the drive circuit 3, the lighting circuit 2 is turned off, and the fluorescent light 1 is turned off. In other words, even if the light-off signal is input, the fluorescent light 1 will not be turned off until a certain period of time has elapsed.

On the other hand, if the control signal 6 becomes an ON signal while the timer circuit 5 is operating (within the set time), the timer circuit 5 is preset and the current
An ON signal (control signal) is applied to the drive circuit 3 via the OR gate 4 as a drive signal. At this time,
The fluorescent lamp 1 is continuously lit. Further, when the control signal 6 is reversed from ON to OFF, the timer circuit 5 is activated again and the fluorescent lamp 1 remains lit during the timer setting period. In other words, the drive circuit 3 is the lighting circuit 2.
The operation continues as it is, and the fluorescent lamp 1 is driven to turn on in exactly the same state as the one at the time of the lighting control signal. Further, as described above, if the control signal is inverted from OFF to ON during the timer setting period, the timer circuit is preset. As a result, the fluorescent light 1 is continuously turned on in the same state, so that the facsimile original can always be illuminated uniformly. As described above, even if the control signal from OFF to ON is frequently reversed to perform lighting control within the set time of the timer circuit 5, the fluorescent lamp 1 is continuously turned on.

As explained above, according to the fluorescent light blinking device of the present invention, the lighting circuit of the fluorescent light is continuously operated from when the light-off signal is output until after the set time of the timer circuit. By applying it to facsimile equipment that is frequently turned on and off, it can not only prevent the lifespan of fluorescent lights from being reduced.
Because the fluorescent lights are always driven in a stable state,
It is also suitable for reading originals.
