[Detailed description of the invention] This invention relates to a hot water circulation device that uses a circulation pump to circulate hot water in a circulation waterway connected to a water heater, a radiator, and a water storage tank for space heating, bathtub heating, etc. To provide a hot water circulation device in which a circulation pump is installed directly below an installed water storage tank, eliminates water leakage from the circulation pump, prevents aerodynamics, and improves durability.

As a conventional hot water circulation system of this type, a water storage tank whose water level is maintained at a constant level with a ball tap, etc. is installed at the top of the circulation circuit connected to a water heater and a radiator for hot water heating, and a circulation pump is installed in the piping part in the middle of the circulation circuit. However, with this configuration, the rotary shaft sealing part of the circulation pump wears out due to long-term use, causing water leakage, or air lock problems due to the large amount of air being sucked into the piping, which is very problematic. It was hot.

Reference numeral 1 denotes a hot water circulation waterway, to which a water heater 2, heating or bath radiator 3, etc. are connected, a water storage tank 4 is installed at the top of the circulation waterway, and water is supplied from a supply port 11 to a water supply device (not shown). to store the required amount of water.

Reference numeral 5 denotes a circulation pump, and pump blades 9 of the circulation pump are arranged in a pump chamber 7 disposed directly below the water storage tank 4. That is, in contact with the bottom of the water storage tank 4,
The rotating shaft 8 of the circulation pump 5 passes through the water storage tank 4 and is loosely inserted through the communication port 6 to extend into the pump chamber 7, thereby forming a pump chamber 7. If the pump blade 9 is attached to the rotating shaft 8 in the tank 7 and the water storage tank 4 is filled with water, the pump blade 9 is always immersed in water.
Here, the communication port 6 serves as the suction port of the circulation pump 5, and the discharge port 10 is provided in the peripheral wall of the pump chamber 7. In this embodiment, the circulation pump 5 is of a centrifugal type, but in the case of an axial flow type, the discharge port 10 must be disposed at the bottom of the pump chamber 7.

Since this idea has the above-mentioned configuration, the water heater 2
The hot water heated by the use of the circulation pump 5 flows through the circulation waterway 1 to the radiator 3, where the hot water, which has had its heat removed by heat radiation, flows through the circulation waterway 1 into the water storage tank 4 at the top. The hot water is drawn into the circulation pump 5 through the suction port 6 at the bottom of the water storage tank 4, and is discharged from the discharge port 10 toward the water heater 2, where it is heated again and circulated as high-temperature water. It goes without saying that the method is not limited to circulating hot water as described above, and that a liquid or medium other than hot water may be circulated.

According to this invention described above, the circulation pump 5 is provided directly below the water storage tank 4, and the rotating shaft of the pump blade is only loosely inserted through the suction port, and there is no need to seal the shaft in the pump chamber, so that the shaft seal part is not required. There is no abrasion, and therefore water leakage due to abrasion as in the conventional case does not occur. In addition, since the suction port is located at the bottom of the water storage tank, even if air bubbles are mixed in the circulation waterway, most of the air bubbles will float to the surface in this water storage tank and be removed, and the circulation pump will hardly cause any air bubbles to be sucked in. . Unlike the conventional pump, air is not sucked into the pump due to wear of the shaft seal, so there is no risk of problems such as air lock. Therefore, there is a practical benefit of improved usability.
