インク供給装置において、インク供給タンクを鉛
直方向に上下させるインク供給タンク昇降手段と
、このインク供給タンク内のインク液面を検出す
る２つの液面検出手段と、インクジエツトヘツド
の印字／非印字状態を検出する印字／非印字検出
手段と、この印字／非印字検出手段の出力信号に
より前記２つの液面検出手段の信号の１つを選択
するデータセレクタと、このデータセレクタから
の信号によりインク供給タンク内のインク液面を
インクジエツトヘツドに対して一定の高さになる
ように前記インク供給タンク昇降手段を制御する
制御手段とを備えたことを特徴とするインク供給
装置。 (2) 前記各液面検出手段は、インクジエツトヘ
ツドに対して所定のインク液圧を発生しうるイン
ク供給タンク内の液面の位置付近に設けられたセ
ンサを含み、かつこのセンサはインク供給タンク
内のインク液面がこのセンサの設置された高さに
達しているか否かを判定できるものであることを
特徴とする実用新案登録請求の範囲第１項記載の
インク供給装置。 (3) 一方のセンサは、インクジエツトヘツドの
印字時に最適なインク供給圧を発生させる液面位
置に対応して設けられ、他方のセンサは、インク
ジエツトヘツドの非印字時若しくは待機時に最適
なインク供給圧を発生させる液面位置に対応して
設けられていることを特徴とする実用新案登録請
