Electrical devices that use batteries are generally sold with batteries included. In this case, the battery is usually stored alongside the electrical equipment in the same packaging box. However, this was extremely uneconomical as the volume of the packaging box increased, increasing not only the product cost but also the transportation cost. Therefore, in order to eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks, Utility Model Publication No. 54-33056, ``Accessory Battery Storage Apparatus'' was proposed. In this method, a battery attached to an electrical device is stored in a battery accommodating portion formed in the electrical device with an insulating member interposed between a terminal of the battery and a connection terminal, and one end of the insulating member is connected to the battery compartment. It is pulled out from the storage section. However, according to this, the following new drawbacks arise. That is, before such electrical equipment is packaged, a running inspection is carried out to perform various checks to see if it operates normally.
This running test is carried out by placing the battery in the battery compartment of the electrical device, and in the case of a button battery, it is necessary to cover the button battery with a battery cover to hold it in the correct position. From running inspection to packaging,
(1) Open the battery cover of the battery compartment. (2) Insert the battery into the battery compartment. (3) Cover the battery cover. (4) Running test (5) Open the battery cover. (6) Remove the battery from the battery compartment. (7) Insert the insulating material into the battery compartment.
(8) Put the battery back into the battery compartment. (9) Cover the battery cover. After going through these steps, the product is packaged. As described above, the above-mentioned work procedure required a great deal of labor and time, and the actual situation was that the expected cost reduction was not achieved.

Therefore, the object of the present invention is to provide an insulating member for battery storage that not only insulates the batteries stored in the battery storage section, but also allows the batteries to be energized extremely easily when necessary. It is something to do. Examples thereof will be described below.

In FIG. 1, an electric device 1 such as a travel watch has a battery cover 3 disposed in a part of a case 2 thereof. As shown in the third figure, below the battery cover 3, a battery storage part 5 provided in the middle frame 4 is located opposite, and a battery 6 is housed therein. A battery contact piece 7 that contacts the cathode of the battery 6 is provided at the bottom of the battery storage portion 5, and a battery contact piece 8 that contacts the anode of the battery 6 is provided on the peripheral side thereof. A tape-shaped insulating member 9 is inserted between the battery contact piece 7 and the battery 6, and one end of the tape-shaped insulating member 9 is pulled out to the outside.

In the present invention, the insulating member 9 has a sandwich structure consisting of an insulating sheet 10 and conductive layers 11, 11 formed on both surfaces of the insulating sheet 10, as shown in the second figure. The insulating sheet 10 is made of a synthetic resin material such as polyimide or polyester. The conductive layer 11 may be formed of nickel or the like by vapor deposition or sputtering, or may be formed of nickel foil or copper foil pasted with an adhesive. Therefore, in a state where this insulating member 9 is simply inserted between the battery 6 and the battery contact piece 7,
The battery 6 and the battery contact piece 7 are insulated. In addition, when you want to operate the electrical equipment 1 for a running test or the like, and you want to make the battery 6 energized as necessary, you can pull it out from the battery compartment 5 without removing the insulating member 9 from the battery compartment 5. The electric device 1 can be operated by electrically connecting the conductive layers 11, 11 on both sides of the end portion of the insulating member 9. One way to make the conductive layers 11, 11 on both sides of the ends pulled out to the outside electrically conductive is to hold them from both sides with metal alligator clips 12 or the like as shown in the third figure. As a result, the conductive layers 11, 11 on both sides are electrically connected, electricity is passed between the battery 6 and the battery contact piece 7, and the electric device 1 is operated.
After the running test is completed, the battery 6 is de-energized by removing the clip 12, and the electrical device 1 is sent for packaging.

In the above embodiment, the alligator clip 12 was used to connect the conductive layers 11, 11, but instead of this, a familiar item such as radio pliers or a gem clip may be used as appropriate. Also,
It is possible to conduct the conductive layers 11, 11 without using metal parts such as the clip 12.
For example, by folding or twisting the ends of the insulating member 9 in the same direction two or more times with your fingertips,
Comrades 1 and 11 may be brought into direct contact. The conductive layers 11, 11 may be formed over the entire surface, or may be changed into an appropriate pattern as required, as shown in FIG. Further, the insulating member 9 may be made by laminating two insulating sheets each having a conductive layer on one side with the conductive layer facing outward. Further, the battery cover 3 may be openable and closable via a hinge.

As explained in detail above, by using the insulating member for battery storage according to the present invention, it is not only possible to simply insulate the battery stored in the battery storage part, but also to enable the battery to be energized as necessary. Furthermore, the battery can be turned on with electricity very easily without removing the insulating member from the battery housing. Therefore, this has a truly significant practical effect, for example, by significantly streamlining the work procedures from running inspection to packaging and the personnel involved, thereby achieving significant cost reductions. .
