Claims (1)
- 電子写真装置の感光体を帯電後露光する前又は
露光後現像する前に感光体上に光を照射して不要
な静電潜像領域に対応する感光体領域の電荷を消
去する装置において、それぞれが発光ダイオード
を含む幾つかの発光ユニツトを感光体の幅方向に
ほぼ直線的に配列した発光装置を用い、原稿サイ
ズ、複写サイズ、転写用紙サイズ等に応じて定ま
る感光体上の不要な潜像領域のうち、感光体の幅
方向の末端不要部についてはこれに対応する末端
発光ユニツトの発光ダイオードを連続的に発光さ
せて消去し、残りの像間不要部については上記末
端発光ユニツト以外の発光ユニツトの発光ダイオ
ードを当該像間不要部の到来時期に合せて対応す
る時間長さだけ点灯させることを特徴とする不要
な静電潜像領域の消去装置。
