Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain rapid communication by detecting a transmission signal on the called side in case of automatic calling, sending a discrimination signal to execute normal facsimile procedure, and in case of manual calling, allowing the called side to connect an answering voice synthesizing circuit to a communication line after a prescribed time. CONSTITUTION:In case of automatic calling, the calling side generates an automatic call CNG signal after the prescribed time from the call. When detecting a decision circuit CNG signal after the terminating of the call, the called side immediately generates a called station discriminating signal CED and executes normal facsimile procedure. Thereby, the answering voice synthesizing circuit 7 is still disconnected from the communication circuit 3 and audio answering is not executed. を有するファクシミリ装置において、通信回線と前記モ

デムに接続する位置と、前記応答音声合成回路に接続す
る位置とに切換可能な切換手段を設け、更に、発呼側か
らのCNG信号の有無を判定する判定回路と、この判定
回路からの信号に応じて前記切換手段を制御する制御手
段とを設けるという構成を備えたものであるので、発呼
側が手動発呼の場合には、即ち判定回路がCNG信号を
検出しない場合には、応答音声合成回路を通信回線につ
ないで音声応答をするが、自動発呼の場合には、判定回
路が発呼側からのCNG信号を検出し、応答音声合成回
路を通信回線に接続しない状態で、直ちにCEDi号を
送出し、通常の7アクシミリ手順に移行することができ
、無駄な音声応答を省略して敏速な通信を可能とすると
いう効果を有するものである。
