More specifically, a planar loop-shaped auxiliary conveyor line that circulates in one direction is provided at a position that overlaps with a part of the main line that conveys automobile bodies in hangers, and on the auxiliary conveyor line, the bodies are conveyed. The rear suspension, fuel tank, exhaust pipe, silencer, exhaust gas purification device, which is assembled at the bottom,
A plurality of transport pallets with other parts collected and set at predetermined mounting positions are placed, and the pallets are raised by a lifting mechanism, etc., and synchronized with hangers that suspend and support the bodies being transported on the main line. Then, the lifting mechanism or the like is lowered to dock the pallet with the hanger, and then the parts set on the pallet are assembled to the lower part of the body, thereby efficiently assembling lower parts such as suspension parts. The present invention relates to an assembly method that can be easily performed, improve work efficiency, save labor, streamline assembly lines, etc.

In other words, the assembly line has stations for assembling the above-mentioned parts individually arranged along the line, and personnel assembling each part individually at each station from below the body transported by an overhead conveyor. The equipment is transported, temporarily set, and assembled. For this reason, first of all, each part is installed in a separate place and in an independent and separate operation, which is not the best in terms of work efficiency, and it takes a lot of time to transport each part to the body and temporarily set it. This requires a large number of workers for each station, and an extremely large number of workers as a whole. Therefore, it is desired to save labor and reduce labor. Next, assembly lines inevitably become long due to the need for a large number of assembly stations along the line, and the need for space between each station for the distribution of parts and other purposes. As the number of assembly lines increases, the structure of the assembly line becomes complicated and large, and improvements are desired in terms of space saving and effective use of space.

Therefore, the present invention eliminates the need to assemble parts over time at individual stations on the line, and assembles parts intensively and compositely at one station using a consolidated pallet. , The assembly can be performed efficiently and efficiently, and the labor of the worker can be reduced, greatly improving the work efficiency. The parts set on the conveying pallet can be set as they are to be assembled on the underside of the body. The parts can be assembled by tightening bolts, etc., making it easy to work, and even unskilled workers can easily and reliably assemble the parts. The line is dotted with assembly stations for each part. Since this is not necessary, the line structure can be simplified, the line length can be shortened, space can be used effectively and rationally, and it has the advantage of being adaptable to the current production line.

Parts 10 to 13, 15 are temporarily set on a pallet 6 at each station d to h of the auxiliary line 5, and the temporarily set pallet 6 is conveyed from the confluence point a through the lower part of the main line 1 to the docking area F. At this point, the pallet 6 is raised together with, for example, the cart 9 by a lifting device 17 that can be raised and lowered, facing the underside of the body 4 that has been transported, and is attached to the hanger 3 with claws 16 etc., that is, the parts are removed. The assembled pallets 6 are set at a predetermined position on the lower surface of the body 4. The lifting operation for setting the pallet 6 onto the body 4 is shown in FIG.

Thereafter, the cart 9 is taken out from the pallet 6 by the downward movement of the lift device 17, and the pallet 6 is held on the lower surface of the body 4 by the claws 18 on the left and right sides of the lower part of the hanger 3, as shown in FIG. The workers gather together and assemble each part set on the pallet 6 to the underside of the body one by one by tightening bolts, etc. After assembling, open the claw 18 of the hanger 3 at a predetermined position and release the engagement with the claw 16. do. At this position, a lift device similar to that shown in Fig. 2 is placed facing the empty pallet, the empty pallet is received by the cart on the lift device, the pallet discharged from the hanger 3 is returned to the auxiliary conveyor line 5, and the pallet is branched out. The parts are set again in each temporary setting area d to h from the point, and the above process is repeated.

As is clear from the above, according to the present invention, the lower parts are centrally set on the transport pallet, and the parts are assembled centrally in one place, so first of all, work efficiency is greatly improved compared to the conventional method. In addition to making it possible to assemble the lower parts efficiently, since there are no multiple assembly stations for each part scattered along the main line, the space in the longitudinal direction of the main line is also reduced, making it possible to shorten the line length. , and the line configuration is simplified, which is extremely advantageous in terms of space and line configuration, and the line can be rationalized and simplified. In addition, since each part is temporarily set on a pallet, it is possible to achieve accuracy in centering and positioning by matching it with the body, and it is possible to assemble each part immediately. It does not require a lot of effort to transport the parts to each station and temporarily set them, and the assembly work can be done intensively and easily, which simplifies the work.
In addition, setting the parts onto the pallet is much easier than directly assembling the individual parts onto the body from below, making it easy to assemble even for unskilled workers or for a small number of people. It can be easily carried out by personnel, and assembly to the body can be done extremely easily by simply tightening bolts on parts supported by pallets, dramatically improving work efficiency compared to the past, and improving automobile It saves labor, saves labor, and simplifies work on the assembly line, which is extremely beneficial for mass production of automobiles.
This has many advantages, such as contributing to improved assembly quality.
