を示し、第４図はラジエータ出口側バルブが閉じ
ているところ、第５図はバイパス側バルブが閉じ
ているところを示す断面図である。図中、 １：ラジエータ、２：エンジン、４：水ジヤケ
ツト、５：水ポンプ、６，２０：サーモスタツト
、７：サーモスタツトハウジング、８：バイパス
、９：バイパス出口、１０：ワツクス、１１：シ
リンダ、２１：ヒートパイプ。

Claims (1)
- 水ジヤケツト出口からラジエータ入口への冷却
水通路と、ラジエータ出口から水ポンプ入口への
冷却水通路との間にバイパスが設けられている水
冷式エンジン車の冷却装置にて用いられるサーモ
スタツトであつて、内部に封入されたワツクスの
温度による体積変化に伴つて往復動するシリンダ
の両端に設けられた弁によりラジエータ出口側の
冷却水通路とバイパスとを冷却水温度に応じて選
択的に開閉するようになつているボトムバイパス
式のサーモスタツトにおいて、一端がシリンダ内
のワツクスに接し他端がバイパスの出口付近に配
置されるようにヒートパイプをシリンダに取り付
け、バイパスからの冷却水の温度がヒートパイプ
を介してワツクスに伝達されるようにしたサーモ
スタツト。
