Abstract

PURPOSE:To recognize a sampling point with the same color as a sampling signal by outputting a signal having a relative relation to a sampling pulse in a chrominance signal sampling means. CONSTITUTION:One signal among an R signal 1, a G signal 2 and a B signal 3 is selected by the control of a select signal 4 in a selector 6, sampled by the control of an S/H pulse 5 in a sample/hold (S/H) circuit 7 to obtain the sample data 8. A selector 9 operates so as to input the S/H pulse 5 to an adder to which the chrominance signal selected by the selector 6 through the control of the select signal 4 is inputted and among output signals 13-15 of adders 10-12, to a signal corresponding to the same color as the chrominance signal sampled in the S/H circuit 7, the S/H pulse is added as a cursor signal. The signals 13-15 are inputted to a monitor TV or the like, and in the monitor TV, a sample point (area) in a video signal picture is displayed by the cursor of the sampled color.
