Conventional Technology Conventionally, in order to attach glass to the frames of doors, shoji screens, etc., glazing channels were formed using a molded sealant;
Amorphous sealing materials such as bead materials or polysulfide sealants were used to support the glass both indoors and outdoors.

When using a glazing channel, the four edges of the glass are fixed by this channel. but,
When attaching glass to a frame using the latter two methods,
Both were supported by frames on both the outside and outside around the glass. Therefore, in that case the end face of the glass was mounted away from the stile.

Below is a specific example of fixing glass to a frame using bead material or amorphous sealant.
The case of bead material is shown in FIG. 1 as an example. As shown in the figure, both surfaces 1a of the glass 1 and the peripheral portions of the glass 1 were fixed to the vertical frame 3a with bead materials 2, 2, and the end surfaces of the glass 1 were left free. However, the second
As shown in the figure, a setting block 4 was installed on the lower stile 3b, on which the glass was placed. The results were exactly the same when an amorphous sealant was used. That is, when using a bead material or an amorphous sealing material, conventionally, the end surface of the glass was not fixed except for the lower stile.

Therefore, if the shoji or door is moved strongly when opening and closing, it will strongly hit the frame, stopper, etc., and an inertia force greater than the holding force of the bead material or irregular sealing material will be applied to the glass, and it will not be able to be supported by these. ,
In some cases, the seal was damaged. Moreover, the glass moved greatly due to this inertial force, and sometimes hit the vertical stile 3a and broke the glass itself.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention It is understandable that the breakage of the sealing material and the destruction of the glass itself are caused by the end surfaces of the glass being free. Therefore, in order to prevent this, it is presumed that a holding material similar to the setting block 4 should be installed between the vertical stile and the end face of the glass. However, unlike the setting blocks for the lower stile, if the holding material used for the vertical stile is a simple block, there is a risk that it will fall during the installation work and during use. Therefore, in order to fix this in an appropriate position, it was necessary to perform troublesome work such as drilling holes in the stile and securing it with fixing means such as screws.

Effect The above-mentioned holding material 7 of the present invention is used to attach glass to vertical frames 6.
When attaching to the clamping parts 7a, 7a in advance.
Attach the holding material 7 to an appropriate location on the edge of the glass 5, insert the glass 5 with the holding material 7 attached into the stile 6, and seal the open end of the stile 6 with the backup material 10 and sealing material 11. Just do it. At this time, the sealing material 11 is made to enter the notch 7d of the holding material 7. When the sealing material 11 enters the notch 7d in this way, the position of the holding member 7 is fixed thereby, and the position can be fixed without using a special screw or the like to fix the holding member 7. Furthermore, this fixing can prevent the holding material 7 from falling even due to vibrations of a shoji or the like. Further, the attachment of the glass 5 to the frame is not particularly different from the case where the holding member 7 is not provided, since the glass 5 can be held by the holding portions 7a in advance.

This example uses an elastic material, e.g. hardness of 60 degrees or more.
It is molded from synthetic rubber or synthetic resin, such as chloroprene rubber or vinyl chloride resin, with a temperature of about 70 degrees. This holding member 7 mainly includes a clamping part 7a that clamps the side edges of the glasses 5, 5, a glass end surface abutting part 7b that brings the end surfaces of the glasses 5, 5 into contact, and an end surface of the glasses 5, 5 of the vertical frame 6. It consists of a stile abutting part 7c that comes into contact with the opposing surfaces, and a rectangular notch 7d cut approximately in the center of each of the clamping parts 7a, 7a.

The glass end surface abutting portion 7b is a surface formed at a substantially right angle from the inside of the clamping portions 7a, 7a, and a groove 7e having a semicircular cross section is formed approximately in the center thereof. This groove 7e is provided to prevent water from remaining in the area where both glasses 5, 5 are joined together.

As shown, the glass 5 is attached to a stile 6. The lower side of this glass 5 is the lower stile 6b as before.
It is supported by setting blocks 4, 4 arranged at both sides, and both ends are attached to the vertical stile 6a via holding members 7 in this embodiment. To attach the holding material 7 to the frame 6 via the main holding material 7, as described above, attach the holding material 7 to a predetermined location on the glass in advance.
Insert the glass holding the holding material into the glass groove of the frame 6, and insert the backing material 10.
And a sealant 11 is used to seal between the glass and the frame. When the holding material 7 is held between the glasses 5, 5, the end surface of the glass should be in contact with the glass end surface abutting portion 7b, and when this glass is installed on a stile, the stile abutting portion 7c should be placed on the stile. is brought into contact with the surface 6a-1. When filling the backup material 10 and sealing material 11, the sealing material 11 is made to enter the notch 7d of the holding material 7. When the sealing material 11 enters the notch 7d in this manner, the attachment position of the holding material 7 is fixed by this sealing material.

FIG. 8 shows another embodiment, in which the shape of the notch is changed. That is, the shape of the notch is not a rectangular notch as described above, but is simply cut out to form a step. The other parts are the same as those in FIG. There is no particular difference in action either.

[Effect of the invention] When the invention is used as described above, both ends of the glass can be brought into contact with the vertical stile via the glass end surface contacting part and the stile contacting part of the holding material, so it is easy to install the invention. Even if a shoji or door is strongly hit against a frame, stopper, etc., the glass will not move, and accidents such as damage to the sealing material or destruction of the glass itself can be completely eliminated.

In addition, the holding material of the present invention has clamping parts that clamp the sides of the glass, so when attaching the glass to the stile, it can be clamped by the clamping parts in advance and inserted into the stile. There is no particular difference from the work when there is no wood, and there is no hassle.

Furthermore, since the holding part is provided with a notch, when the gap between the glass and the stile is sealed, the sealing material enters the notch and fixes the holding material. Therefore, there is no need to prepare a special fixing tool for fixing the retaining material, so the assembly work of the shoji having the retaining material on the vertical stile is facilitated.
