る。(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) As described above, the purpose of coating with a polymeric material and the expected functions of the coating can be broadly classified into the following two. That is, the first is insulation or mechanical protection for the electric wire. This type of support supports electrical wires to which voltage is applied, so it must not only withstand the voltage of the circuit, but also ensure that the covering is as hard as possible, even when the temperature rises during summer energization, and that it is mechanically stable. It is required that the strength does not decrease and that it is strong against external force and trauma. The second is flexibility. Since this type of support is manually wound around the electric wire, it is desirable that its structure be flexible.

るところであった。However, since the above-mentioned known supports are all coated with a single polymer material, in order to satisfy the first requirement above, it is necessary to use a hard and strong polymer material as the coating. If we do this, the second requirement will not be satisfied, and on the other hand, if we try to use a polymeric material that is as flexible as possible in order to satisfy the second requirement, the first requirement will not be guaranteed. Therefore, it cannot be said that it has sufficient characteristics required for a wire support, and drastic improvements have been desired.

) and the connectors (3...) that connect them to each other are made of separate polymeric materials. The former and the latter are compatible, and it is desirable that they partially melt and fuse together at the interface, but essentially the former is relatively hard and has excellent heat resistance, and even at high temperatures it is quite resistant. It consists of a material that retains its strength, while the latter is obtained from a relatively soft material that retains its flexibility even at low temperatures. An example of a desirable material selection for this purpose is that the former is low-density polyethylene, such as Nippon Unicar Co., Ltd.'s NUC9105, and the latter is the low-density polyethylene and ethylene vinyl acetate, such as Mitsubishi Yuka Co., Ltd.; Yucalon (trade name). ) EVA25K is blended in equal amounts. Another desirable combination is vinyl chloride containing a small amount of plasticizer such as DOP and vinyl chloride containing a large amount. An effective method for manufacturing the wire support of the present invention will be outlined. In Fig. 4, 1 the support device of the present invention (A)
The production of starts with the production of a spiral metal wire (1...). The spiral metal wire (1...) can be manufactured by any known technique. For example, a spiral metal wire coated with a polymeric material can be manufactured by the method disclosed in Japanese Patent No. 1,216,976 (Japanese Patent Publication No. 58-52411) previously provided by the present inventor. The metal wire (1...) coated with the coating (2...) made of a relatively hard polymeric material by these known methods is cut into a desired length if necessary to form a spiral shape. It is prepared as a metal wire unit (10...). The unit bodies (10...) are bundled and arranged in a twisted manner to form a spiral group (100), and are supplied onto the feeding device (4). The feeding device (4) includes an appropriate number of feeding rollers (41).

A set of helices (100) is stored. Immediately after a set of helical groups (100) from the feeding device (4) has been fed to the crosshead (6), the next set of helical groups (100) from the storage device is transferred to the feeding device (4). and subsequently fed to the crosshead (6). Thereafter, the spiral groups (100) are continuously supplied, successively pass through the crosshead (6), and are bonded to each other by a soft polymeric material. Thereafter, if necessary, it is cooled in a cooling water tank (not shown) and then cut into a desired length to produce a finished product.

Since the coating is made up of a relatively hard polymeric material that directly covers the wires and a relatively soft polymeric material that connects them, the coating is sufficiently hard even during high temperatures in summer. It has the remarkable effect that it does not lose the desired wire gripping force, does not lose its appropriate flexibility even at low temperatures in winter, and maintains the ease of installation work.
