Further, a dial plate 5 is fixed to the instrument body 1, and has a display index 4 such as a scale or letters that can be read by comparison with the indication of the pointer 3.

The pointer 5 is attached to the instrument body 1 so that the pointer 3 points along the display index 4 such as characters, and the mechanism of the instrument body 1 is finely adjusted so that the pointer 3 operates within the specifications of the display index 4 on the dial plate 5. We have adjusted the instructions accordingly.

After attaching the pointer 3 to the pointer shaft 2, the indication is adjusted by matching the indication of the pointer 3 to the display indicator 4 on the dial 5. Therefore, the pointer 3 may be removed and, for example, only the defective pointer 3 replaced. When the pointer 3 is reassembled on the dial 5, the fitting of the pointer shaft 2 and pointer 3 may be poor due to deformation of the fitting portion of the two, deformation of the pointer shaft 2, and errors in indication adjustment may occur.
This may lead to a decline in quality, and considerable skill may be required to replace parts.

In this case, by providing a slit 7 in the dial plate 5 through which the pointer shaft 2 portion with the pointer 3 attached to the meter body 1 shown in FIG. 2 or the base portion of the pointer 3 can be inserted. The dial plate 5 side can be attached and detached with the pointer 3 attached, so that the dial plate 5 or the instrument body 1 side with the pointer 3 attached can be replaced.

A board (not shown) of the same color as the dial plate 5 is attached to the instrument body 1 in correspondence with the slit portion 7A, and when the dial plate 5 is attached to the instrument body 1, the slit 7 and the slit portion 7A are connected to the substrate. It needs to be blocked off, which is not very desirable in terms of design.

In recent years, translucent pointers such as acrylic resin have been used, and the light from the illumination lamp enters the base of the pointer through the light guide to brightly illuminate the pointing section of the pointer. A lighting device using a light guide has been proposed to improve visibility.

If you arrange a light guide with a notch equivalent to the slit 7 or slit portion 7A, guide the irradiated light from the illumination lamp into the light guide, and make this light enter the base of the pointer, The light beam may be scattered by the cutout portion of the light guide, and the amount of light entering the inside of the pointer may be insufficient.

The pointer can be easily attached or removed by tightening the fixing nut on the threaded part, and by using the fixing nut as one magnetic coupling member and arranging the other magnetic coupling member on the pointer cap. The base side of the pointer and the pointer cap side can be magnetically connected and separated with a single touch operation, increasing the efficiency of assembly work.
