Conventionally, as a core string used in a slide fastener having a row of coiled fastener elements, a twisted yarn made of spun yarn or a twisted yarn made of fused yarn (multifilament yarn) is generally used. The core string made of spun yarn is highly flexible, so it has the advantage that it is easy to insert the sewing machine needle when sewing the coiled fastener element to the side edge of the fastener tape, and the completed fastener chain is also highly flexible. On the other hand, there are problems such as large variations in the diameter of the core string itself and the tendency to generate fluff. Therefore, when this core string is used, the pitch of the coiled fastener element rows becomes disordered, and the element row There are drawbacks such as the fact that abnormal dimensions tend to occur in the length of the element during molding. In the slide fastener obtained by sewing this array of elements onto a fastener tape, as shown in FIG. 6, the meshing depth of the elements E sometimes undergoes deformation as shown in d. In addition, although the core string made of spun yarn has the advantage of having little variation in diameter and no generation of fluff, it lacks elasticity and flexibility, making it difficult to insert a sewing machine needle during sewing, making it difficult to sew. It is not possible to absorb the shrinkage of the core string during sewing, resulting in many sewing errors, and the completed fastener chain lacks flexibility, resulting in another drawback of high resistance when opening and closing the fastener.

As disclosed in the above publication, a core cord is known in which a core body is formed of a composite yarn covered with a spun yarn made of synthetic resin with a low elasticity, and an outer wrapped yarn is arranged around the core body and twisted together. However, this method has problems in that it cannot absorb sewing shrinkage during sewing of the elements, has poor penetrability with a sewing machine needle, and lacks flexibility as a fastener chain.

The present invention was made with attention to the above points, and although multifilament yarn is used for the core string, it eliminates the drawbacks of the core string made of the above-mentioned spun yarn, and improves flexibility and ease of use with sewing machine needles. easy penetration,
The purpose is to provide a slide fastener with excellent element pitch stability.

The structure of the core cord 3 is shown in FIGS. 4 and 5. By subjecting a multifilament yarn made of thermoplastic synthetic resin to a process such as heating and untwisting, a textured yarn 5 having bulkiness and elasticity can be obtained. Then, the processed yarn 5 is subjected to a first twist to form a twisted yarn 6, and a plurality of twisted yarns 6 are further twisted to form a core cord 3. The core string 3 formed in this way has flexibility because it uses the processed yarn 5 that has bulkiness and elasticity, and since it is a multifilament yarn, there is no variation in diameter or fluff. Furthermore, the structure is such that minute gaps 7 are formed between each twisted yarn 6 as shown in FIG. This gap 7 serves to absorb sewing shrinkage during sewing of the element and also to improve the insertion property of a sewing machine needle during sewing of the element.

The diameter R (FIG. 2) of the core string 3 is thicker than the distance r between the upper and lower legs 8 and 9 of the element row 2, and when the core string 3 is held by the element row 2, As shown in FIG. 2, the core string 3 is pressed between the upper leg portion 8 and the lower leg portion 9 of the element row 2, and has a swollen shape between the pitches of the element row 2.
This increases the area of close contact between the element row 2 and the core string 3, and improves the pitch stability of the elements.

As described above, according to the present invention, since the twisted yarn 6 made of the processed yarn 5 having bulkiness and elasticity is used as the core string 3, there is no variation in the diameter of the core string 3, and the threading of the sewing machine needle is easy. Can sew in a straight line. Furthermore, the core string 3 can be installed in a straight line without contacting the engaging heads 10 of the opposing element rows 2 as shown in FIG. Element pitch is stable because there is no variation in the diameter of the string or the occurrence of fluff. Furthermore, since the core string has sufficient flexibility even though it uses multifilament yarn, it has the effect of being able to have the same flexibility as a core string using spun yarn. Further, there is also the effect that smooth engagement and disengagement operations of the opposing engagement element rows can be performed.
