Conventionally, thread has been wound around a fishing rod to fix the reel seat, threading guide, or for decorative purposes, and a curable resin liquid is applied to the outer circumferential surface of the wound thread, followed by drying. . Urethane-based or epoxy-based paints are used as thread stopper paints, and it takes a long time for the paints to harden, causing inconveniences in work efficiency and setup. Furthermore, since the urethane and epoxy paints mentioned above are solvent-diluted types, it is difficult to apply thick coatings. In order to improve the quality of the coating, the application and drying process must be repeated, for example, 4 to 7 times, which reduces work time and drying space. Furthermore, there were many inconveniences due to mistakes in the coating process.

That is, the gist of the present invention is that when fixing the thread wound around a fishing rod, a high-concentration urethane or epoxy paint with a solid content of 50% or more is applied as an undercoat, and after drying, a relatively low paint of 0.5 to 5 poise is applied. Applying an ultraviolet curable paint with a viscosity at room temperature or heat curing, and irradiating it with ultraviolet rays until at least the surface layer of the coating film is not substantially damaged by external influences. The present invention discloses a method of curing the entire coating film by leaving it at room temperature or heating it after curing, thereby firmly fixing the fishing rod and line.

That is, as a first step, a highly concentrated urethane or epoxy paint with a solid content of 50% or more is applied and dried to ensure adhesion between the fishing rod base material and the thread, and then layered. To prevent spots of penetration of the ultraviolet curing paint into the threads and keep the appearance stable and in good condition. When the solid content concentration is as low as 50% or less, the probability of occurrence of spots in the ultraviolet curable paint increases and the painting operation time increases. In addition, urethane paint or epoxy paint is best in terms of ensuring adhesion between the base material and the thread. As for the UV-curable paint that is applied over the top, a relatively low viscosity one of 0.5 to 5 poise is used, but this is good for the appearance in terms of workability when brushing and the ability of the paint to penetrate into the threads. This is an essential condition for obtaining a high level of workability.

The feature of the ultraviolet curable paint of the present invention is that it also has a room temperature or heat curing function, which allows the resin that has penetrated between the thread and the base material to It does not substantially cure even when exposed to ultraviolet rays, and there is no problem of uncured paint breaking weak points in the film after a long period of time, causing sticky resin to ooze out. This is absolutely necessary in order to obtain a high degree of adhesion.

Specifically, UV-curable paints include polyunsaturated oligomer resins represented by esters of acrylic acid and methacrylic acid, such as polyhydric alcohols, polyester polymers, and low polymerization degree epoxy resins, which are liquid at room temperature. These include those containing ultraviolet sensitizers, polymerization collectors, and leveling agents, but in the present invention, in particular, epoxy systems, urethane systems, peroxide polymerization systems, and those that have room temperature curing and heat curing functions by crosslinking reactions are used. In this case, the following two-component type resin is mixed and used before use.

Also, if the viscosity of ultraviolet curable paint is high, it will be difficult to paint, so adjust it to 0.5 to 5 poise and use it by diluting it with a vinyl polymerizable monomer or organic solvent with a boiling point of 100°C or higher. method is taken. Examples of these high-boiling vinyl polymerizable monomers include diallyl phthalate, alkyl acrylate, and alkyl methacrylate, and examples of organic solvents include toluene, xylene, cellosolve, butyl acetate, and methyl isobutyl ketone.

After applying the above-mentioned paint, ultraviolet rays are irradiated. The method of irradiating the ultraviolet rays is to use an ultraviolet generator using a high-pressure mercury lamp, and insert the rod rod coated with the paint into the ultraviolet generator while rotating it. Alternatively, the ultraviolet ray generator is moved to the area where the rod rod is rotated and the irradiation is performed.

By using the method described above, the spaces between the threads and the lower parts of the threads, which are difficult for ultraviolet rays to reach, are cured with ordinary urethane-based or epoxy-based paints, resulting in a high degree of adhesion between the base material and the threads. In addition, after applying and curing the top coat of UV-curable paint, if you leave it at room temperature or heat it, the self-curing function of the paint will further progress the curing even in areas where UV rays do not reach, making it stronger. A coating film with good adhesion can be formed.

以下、本発明方法による実施例を説明する。 Examples according to the method of the present invention will be described below.

<Example> A threading guide was placed on the surface of the rod rod, and after wrapping and fixing the nylon thread around the mounting leg, a one-component, moisture-curing urethane paint with a solid content concentration of 70% was applied. It was left to dry at room temperature for 10 hours.

Then, on top of that, acrylic oligomer resin,
An ultraviolet curable paint (viscosity 1 to 3 poise) which is cross-linked and cured by epoxy reaction, which is a base material containing an alkyl acrylate vinyl monomer and an epoxy resin and a polymeric polyamine curing agent, was applied. When such a rod was rotated and the coated area was irradiated with ultraviolet rays for about 20 seconds using a high-pressure mercury lamp, a good thread fixation with a glossy appearance and a pencil hardness of HB was achieved on the coating surface.

In this state, the top coat paint that entered the gaps between the threads was uncured, but after being left at room temperature for 3 days, the paint in the gaps between the threads was completely cured, and the surface hardness increased.
The coating film had a hardness and toughness of 5H, and the adhesion between the rod and the thread was extremely excellent.

In this example, if the solid content concentration of the undercoat paint is too low or the viscosity of the topcoat paint is too high, the paint will sag, the paint will not spread well, and the workability will be poor when tightening a large number of rod rods. , the solid content concentration of the undercoat is 50% or more, and the viscosity of the topcoat is 0.5.
~5 poise, particularly 1 to 3 poise was suitable. Further, according to this method, a good coating film can be stably obtained even with a small amount of ultraviolet irradiation, and equipment productivity can be highly utilized.
