Generally, when firing ceramic products such as insulators, as shown in FIG. Thermal conductivity, mechanical strength,
A fireproof rod 14 made of a fireproof material such as silicon carbide having excellent spalling resistance is stretched, and the ceramic product A is supported on this fireproof rod 14 with a hanging rod 15 inserted near the top thereof. However, since conventional refractory rods are usually hollow tubes with a circular cross section, when the ceramic product A is supported in the firing furnace 11, it may roll due to the movement of the kiln car 12, etc., and may cause damage during firing. The product may be deformed or damaged due to collision, etc., and in order to prevent the fireproof rods from rolling, the fireproof rods must be fixed to the fireproof rod supports 13, 13 with clay or the like, which reduces workability. There was a big inconvenience. Therefore, fireproof rods with polygonal cross-sections have been proposed, but although polygonal cross-sections can prevent damage caused by rolling of the fireproof rods as described above, the corners may be damaged during handling. It was easy to chip, and in some cases, these fragments adhered to the product, causing product defects, which caused problems in terms of quality. Furthermore, another major drawback of these conventional products is that, as mentioned above, in order to obtain a fireproof rod with good quality, it is necessary to make a hole in the center of the rod-shaped main body to make it as thin as possible. This means that it becomes weaker in terms of mechanical strength. Therefore, especially when supporting heavy objects, it is necessary to increase the outer diameter of the fireproof rods or arrange multiple fireproof rods in parallel to obtain the specified strength. This not only resulted in a large loss in terms of product packing efficiency in the kiln, but also caused a number of problems, including a loss of energy.

1 is a slightly flat rod-shaped main body with an oval cross section made of silicon carbide, silicon nitride, or other refractory material, and the rod-shaped main body 1 has a flat support surface extending parallel to the axial direction on its upper and lower surfaces. 2, 2, and the rod-shaped main body 1 has one to a plurality of through holes 4, respectively, on both sides, leaving the part connecting the support surfaces 2, 2 in the middle as a solid load receiving part 3. 4 is provided in the axial direction. In addition, when two through holes 4, 4 are arranged side by side as shown in the figure in the rod-shaped main body 1, the size ratio of the short axis A and the long axis B in the oval cross-sectional shape is 1:1.2 to 1:1. 1.5, and the width of the load receiving part 3 formed between the through holes 4, 4 should be about 1/5 of the dimension of the long axis B from the viewpoint of quality and mechanical strength. The support surfaces 2, 2 extending in the axial direction on the upper and lower surfaces of the rod-shaped main body 1 are optimally formed so that almost no corners are formed at the boundaries with other parts.

In this structure, fireproof rod support parts 13, 13 are provided on the kiln car 12 moving in the firing furnace 11, and the upper ends of the fireproof rod support parts 13, 13 are formed by stacking short cylindrical pods. It is a conventional method for firing this type of ceramics to suspend a rod-shaped main body 1 with both ends between them, and to support the ceramic product A with a hanging rod 15 inserted near the top. Although it is similar to a fireproof rod, according to the present invention, the rod-shaped main body 1
Since its cross-sectional shape is a slightly flattened oval, it has a supporting surface 2 with both ends downward at the upper end of the fireproof rod support, so that it can be stably fireproofed and rolled when the kiln car is moved. Therefore, there is no risk that the ceramic products will collide and be damaged in the firing furnace, and the troublesome work of fixing both ends to the fireproof rod support can be omitted. Since the cross section of the rod-shaped main body 1 is oval and has no corners, unlike products with a polygonal cross section, the corner parts will not be chipped during handling and these fragments will not adhere to the product, and the product is excellent in quality. . Furthermore, since the rod-shaped main body 1 is provided with through holes 4, 4 on both sides, leaving a load receiving part 3 in the middle at the part connecting the support surfaces 2, 2 extending in the axial direction. Not only does it have good quality with no distortion, but when a ceramic product such as an insulator is suspended in a firing furnace, the load is transferred to the load receiving part 3 of the required thickness, which remains as a solid body. Therefore, even a large load can be borne effectively. Therefore, even when using only one refractory rod for firing ceramics, even if the object is considerably heavy, not only can the strength be sufficiently guaranteed, but also the rod-shaped main body 1 can be It is also possible to reduce the size and weight, and compared to the conventional usage example where fireproof rods with a circular cross section were strung together in sets of two, the number of items packed into the kiln car is ~15% compared to the conventional method. This has the effect of increasing energy consumption by 20%, which is favorable from an energy-saving measure.

Therefore, the present invention has great practical value as it solves the problems of the conventional refractory rods for firing ceramics.
