Description

【考案の詳細な説明】 本考案は、エネルギ吸収用プラスチツクフオー
ム(発泡樹脂材)を内蔵するバンパフエースを車
体のバツクアツプビームに取付けて成るソフトバ
ンパに関し、特にその変形防止構造に関する。

一般に、この種のソフトバンパでは、エネルギ

用いられ、バツクアツプビームの材料として、鉄
材のごとき線膨張係数が比較的小さく剛性の大き
いものが用いられているため、温度が高くなる
と、両膨張係数の差によつてバンパフエースが変
形し、いわゆる波打ち現象を生じるという問題点
があつた。

ースとバツクアツプビームとの熱膨張係数の差に
よる同バンパフエースの変形を防止すべく、上記
バンパフエースの左右両側部の車体側面へまわり
込むコーナー部の内側に、それぞれ熱膨張量吸収
用切欠部が形成されたことを特徴としている。
