結し、チルトガイドプレートを同ステアリングコ
ラムの途中に固定し、同ステアリングコラム側の
チルトガイドプレートを車体側のチルトガイドプ
レートにより昇降可能に支持した自動車のチルト
ステアリング装置において、前記ステアリングコ
ラム側のチルトガイドプレートに設けた上下多段
の鋸歯状ロツクギヤと、同鋸歯状ロツクギヤに着
脱自在に係合する上下多段の鋸歯状ロツクギヤを
有し且つ前記車体側のチルトガイドプレートに旋
回可能に取付けたロツクプレートと、同ロツクプ
レートを係脱方向に旋回操作する可撓の操作部材
とを具えていることを特徴とした自動車のチルト
