  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 (1) 基部となる第１のハウジングと着脱可能な
    活字素子を備えた第２のハウジングとが互いに回
    動可能に連結されてなる印字装置であつて、 前記第２のハウジングは、 前記活字素子の出し入れが可能な交換用開口が
    その底部に設けられ、 前記第１のハウジングの延長平面上に位置し、
    前記活字素子がその底面側に位置されて印字装置
    の不使用状態となる第１の回動位置と、 前記第１のハウジングに対して相対的に下方に
    回動され、前記活字素子が第１のハウジング側に
    位置されて印字可能状態となる第２の回動位置と
    、 前記第１のハウジングに対して相対的に上方に
    回動され、前記交換用開口が第１のハウジングか
    ら離間される側に位置されて活字素子が交換可能
    な状態となる第３の回動位置と に選択的に回動可能であることを特徴とする印
    字装置。 (2) 前記活字素子は、複数個の活字を周辺に備
    えた活字ホイールであることを特徴とする実用新
