Claims (1)
- 内部にステアリスグシヤフトを軸支したステア
リングコラムを内接状態で支持したブレークアウ
エイブラケツトがカプセルを介してインストルメ
ントパネルリインフオースメントと結合された状
態において、ステアリングホイール方向からの二
次衝突荷重を受けた場合に前記カプセルと前記ブ
レークアウエイブラケツトの結合が解除されてス
テアリングコラムを車両前方に移動させるように
構成したステアリングコラム支持装置であつて、
前記ブレークアウエイブラケツトの左右端部対称
位置に前記カプセルが嵌合される切欠部を形成す
るとともに前記インストルメントパネルリインフ
オースメントの下端面と対面する位置に突起物が
一体的に形成された補強部材を取付ける一方、該
補強部材に形成された前記突起物と同形状を有し
、車両前後方向に所定のオフセツト距離をおき、
かつ、予圧を有して前記突起物と線的接触する突
起物を前記インストルメントパネルリインフオー
スメントの下端面に設けることを特徴とするステ
アリングコラム支持装置。
