  1. 船底および船側における船体表面に、同船体表
    面に沿う水の流れ方向に多数の溝をそなえ、これ
    らの溝の上流側の端部における船体表面に、気泡
    吐出用の多孔性部材が装着されるとともに、同多
    孔性部材の内側へ空気を供給する空気供給手段が
    設けられて、同空気供給手段が、水面上方の船首
    部外板または船体上部構造物の前面に形成された
    空気取入口と、同空気取入口から取り入れられた
    空気を上記多孔性部材の内側へ送るための送風機
    とをそなえて構成されたことを特徴とする、摩擦
    抵抗軽減型船舶。
