【発明の詳細な説明】[Detailed description of the invention]

本発明はげつ歯類動物駆除薬剤を燻蒸させてげ
つ歯類動物を駆除する方法、更に詳しくはげつ歯
類動物駆除薬剤を短時間に集中的に燻蒸せしめ、
部屋その他の限定空間内のげつ歯類動物を駆除す
る方法に関する。 従来よりげつ歯類動物駆除薬剤を短時間に燻蒸
させてげつ歯類動物を駆除する方法としては、該
薬剤を燃焼剤と混合して燃焼剤の燃焼熱及び発煙
により薬剤を発散させる所謂燻煙剤を用いる方法
が一般的であるが、之は以下の如き欠点を有す
る。即ち多量のげつ歯類動物駆除薬剤を速かに蒸
散させるためには、毒性の強い煙を発生する燃焼
剤の燃焼を必須とし、従つてこの燻煙剤の使用時
には、上記燃焼剤の発煙による刺激臭や人体等に
対する危険及び火災の危険等が伴われる。更に重
大なことに上記燻煙剤によれば燃焼熱によるげつ
歯類動物駆除薬剤の熱分解、それによる有効揮散
率の低下即ち駆除効率低下及び経済的損失は避け
られない。 本発明は、上記公知の燻煙剤を用いるげつ歯類
動物駆除方法に替り、多量のげつ歯類動物駆除薬
剤を瞬時に且つ有効に、広範囲に亘り蒸散せしめ
得、しかも発煙を実質的に伴うことなく従つてこ
れによる毒性や刺激臭等の問題を惹起せず、また
火災のおそれのない新しいげつ歯類動物駆除方法
を提供するものである。 即ち本発明はげつ歯類動物駆除薬剤を燻蒸させ
てげつ歯類動物を駆除するに当り、該げつ歯類動
物駆除薬剤を300℃以下の温度で熱分解して主と
して窒素ガス、炭酸ガスを発生する有機発泡剤と
混合し、混合物を間接的に加熱して燃焼を伴うこ
となく上記有機発泡剤を熱分解させ、該熱分解ガ
スの作用によりげつ歯類動物駆除薬剤を有効に燻
蒸させることを特徴とするげつ歯類動物駆除方法
に係る。 本発明においてげつ歯類動物駆除薬剤として
は、従来よりげつ歯類動物駆除剤に用いられる各
種薬剤がいずれも使用できる。代表的薬剤として
は以下のものを例示できる。 シリロシド、黄燐、亜砒酸、硫酸タリウム、燐
化亜鉛、モノフルオル酢酸ナトリウム、アンツ
ー、ノルボマイド、ワルフアリン、フマリン、ク
マテトラリル、エンドロサイド、アルフアナフチ
ルチオ尿素、チオセミカルバジツド、クマクロー
ル、デイフエナクム、ピバール、クロロフアシノ
ン、ダイフアシノン、N−3−ピリデイルメチル
−N′−ニトロフエニルウリア、(以下RH−787と
いう)コーフアサイド、シラトレン、カルシフエ
ロール。 本発明における上記薬剤には、通常用いられて
いる誘引剤、揮散率向上剤、消臭剤、香料等の各
種添加剤を任意に添加することができる。揮散率
向上剤としてはフエネチルイソチオシアネート、
ハイミツクス酸ジメチル等が、消臭剤としてはラ
ウリル酸メタクリレート(LMA)等が、香料と
してはシトラール、シトロネラール等が夫々例示
できる。 また本発明において上記げつ歯類動物駆除薬剤
及び必要に応じ添加される各種添加剤と併用され
る有機発泡剤としては、300℃以下の温度で熱分
解して主として窒素ガス、炭酸ガスを発生するも
のを使用する。代表的な有機発泡剤を下記第1表
に例示する。
