る紫外線発生のための交流運転用の装置、第2図
は第1図による装置の電源を説明するための原理
的回路図、第3図は第1図による装置の相対収量
の希ガス圧Pへの依存性を示す線図である。 1……放電管、2……電極用端部、2′……電
極用端部、3……電極、3′……電極、5……虫
垂状の管部、6……点弧線、ZS……点弧回路、
L……チヨーク線輪、S……開閉器。

Claims (1)

  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 1 水銀及び希ガスで充した内径4乃至20mmで
    両端が電極収容のための管状の端部に接続されて
    いる紫外線透過性の放電管中において、水銀蒸気
    圧5.10―乃至5.10―mmHg、希ガス
    圧0.01乃至10mmHg及び放電電流密度1乃
    至25A/cm3の下で2個の電極の間に発生する
    壁安定化された、熱放射による気体放電によつて
    強度の紫外線を発生させる装置であつて、希ガス
    としてアルゴン、クリプトン及び/またはキセノ
    ンを運転状態において0.01乃至0.5mmHg
    のガス圧Pの下で使用し、放電管1及びその端部
    2,2′が、波長185及び194nmのスペク
    トル線はほぼ完全に吸収され、254nmの線は
    ほぼ無損失で透過するように配合された組成の石
    英ガラスから成つており、また放電管1に、その
    温度が48乃至65℃に設定できる、凝縮した水
    銀を溜めるための虫垂状の管部5が設けられ、か
    つニツケル粉及び(バリウム、カルシウム、スト
    ロンチウム)一炭酸塩を使用して作られた酸化物
    電極としてまたはタングステン、モリブデンある
    いはタンタルの焼結体及びバリウムまたは希土類
    金属を含む組成の電極として形成され、寸法、構
    造及び材料構成において高程度に同じであり、交
    流を印加可能な2個の放射電極3,3′を有して
    成る紫外線発生装置。 2 キセノンの圧力が0.04乃至0.1mmHg
    である実用新案登録請求の範囲第1項記載の紫外
    線発生装置。 3 電極3,3′がモリブデン板4,4′を介し
    て端部2,2′から引き出されている実用新案登
    録請求の範囲第1項記載の紫外線発生装置。 4 両端部2,2′が相互に同じ寸法及び材料構
    成を有し、放電管部1と同じ材料から成る実用新
    案登録請求の範囲第1項記載の紫外線発生装置。 5 放電管1の内径が8乃至15mmであり、虫垂
    状の管部5の直径が放電管1の直径の0.3乃至
    1倍、端部2,2′の直径が放電管1の直径の1
    乃至4倍であり、さらに放電管1の長さが0.8
    乃至2m、虫垂状の管部5の長さが放電管1の長
    さの0.005乃至0.1倍、端部2,2′の体
    積が放電管1の体積の0.5乃至4倍である実用
    新案登録請求の範囲第1項記載の紫外線発生装置
    。 6 放電管1に、その外側に接触し約20KVの
    衝撃電圧が印加される導線を備えた実用新案登録
    請求の範囲第1項に記載の紫外線発生装置。
