Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は、リモートコントロール操作の可能なビデオ、
オーディオ等の電子機器に関する。
〔発明の概要〕
本発明は、リモートコントロール操作の可能な電子機器
において、本体側にリモートコントロールコード（以下
「リモコンコード」という）の学習機能を持たせること
により、新たなリモコンコードでも動作させることがで
き、使用者の使い勝手の向上が図られるようにしたもの
である。
〔従来の技術〕
従来、例えばテレビジョン受像機及びビデオテープレコ
ーダをリモコン操作するとき、メーカーが違う場合には
、リモコンコードが異なることから夫々に専用のコマン
ダを使用しなければならなく不便であった。例えば近年
テレビジョン受像機のコマンダでもビデオテープレコー
ダのファンクションが付加されているものも多いが使用
できなく無駄となっていることが多い。
また、例えばテレ、ビジョン受像機及びビデオテープレ
コーダをリモコン操作するとき、メーカーが同一である
場合には、同一のコマンダを使用してリモコン操作を行
なうことができる。しかし、例えばビデオテープレコー
ダを再生して再生画面を見る場合、使用者はテレビジョ
ン受像機に対するビデオ出力への切換操作と、ビデオテ
ープレコーダに対する再生操作とを行なう必要があり、
操作が複雑となり不便であった。
〔発明が解決しようとする問題点〕
このように、従来のリモコン操作システムでは不便な点
が多くあった。
本発明は斯る点に鑑み、電子機器本体側にリモコンコー
ドの学習機能を持たせることにより、使用佇の使い原子
の向上を図るものである。
〔問題点を解決するための手段〕
本発明は、本体側に不揮発性メモリ（５）と、この不揮
発性メモ１月５）に新旧のリモートコントロールコード
ＲＣ２，ＲＣＩを対応させて書き込む手段（１１とが設
けられ、新リモートコントロールコードＲＣ２が入力さ
れるとき、不揮発性メモ１月５）より対応する旧すモー
トコントロールコードＰＣＩが読み出され、この旧リモ
ートコントロールコードＰＣＩによって動作が制御され
るようにしたものである。
〔作用〕
例えば、上述構成において、不揮発性メモリ（５）に他
のメーカーのリモートコントロールコードを新リモート
コントロールコードＲＣ２として書き込むことにより、
他のメーカーのコマンダを用いてリモコン操作をし得る
ようになる。
〔実施例〕
以下、第１図を参照しながら本発明の一実施例について
説明する。本例はリモコン操作可能なテレビジぢン受像
機に通用したものである。
同図において、（１）はテレビジョン受像機の動作を制
御するマイクロコンピユータ（以下「マイコン」という
）であり、（２）はＣＰＵ、（３１はＲＡＭ。
（４）はＲＯＭ、＋５１は例えばＭＮＯＳよりなる不揮
発性メモリ、（６）〜（９）は入出力ボートである。
また、（１０）はコマンダ（１１）からの例えば赤外線
によるリモコン信号ＳＲが供給される受光部である。こ
の受光部（ｌＯ）からのリモコンコードＲＣは入出力ボ
ート（６）を介してＣＰ　Ｕ　（２１に供給される。
また、（１２１）〜（１２Ｎ）はキー人力装置を構成す
るスイッチであり、これらスイッチ（１２１）〜（１２
Ｎ）がオンされることによるキー人力は入出力ボート（
８）を介してＣＰ　ｔＪ　（２）に供給される。例えば
、スイッチ（１２１）は電源オンオフ用であり、このス
イッチ（１２ｘ）をオンとすることにより、ＣＰ　Ｕ　
（２）より人出力ボート（９）を介して電源スィッチ（
図示せず）に制御信号が供給されてオンオフが制御され
る。また、スイッチ（１２２）及び（１２３はチャンネ
ルアップ及びダウン用であり、これらスイッチ（１２２
）及び（１２３）をオンとすることにより、ＣＰ　Ｕ　
（２）より入出力ボート（９）を介して選プダウンが制
御される。また、スイッチ（１２４）及び（１２ｓ）は
音量アップ及び音量ダウン用であり、これらスイッチ（
１２４）及び（１２ｓ）をオンとすることにより、ＣＰ
　Ｕ　（２１より入出力ボート（９）を介して音量調整
回路（１４）に夫々アップ信号ＶＬＩＰ及びダウン信号
ＶＤＮが供給され、音量のアップダウンが制御される。
また、スイッチ（１２Ｎ）はビデオ出力への切換用であ
り、このスイッチ（１２Ｎ）をオンとすることにより、
ＣＰ　Ｕ　（２＋より入出力ボート（９）を介してスイ
ッチ回路（１５）に制御信号が供給されて受像管に供給
される映像信号がビデオ出力に切換えられる。
また、（１６）はスライドスイッチよりなる学習スイッ
チであり、電源（十Ｂ）側に接続されると）きオフとな
り、接地側に接続されるときオンとなる。この学習スイ
・ンチ（１６）の操作信号は入出力ボート（８］を介し
てＣＰ　Ｕ　（２）に供給される。この学習スイッチ（
１６）をオンとすることにより、新リモコンコードが旧
リモコンコードと対応されて上述した不揮発性メモ１月
５）に書き込まれ、リモコンコードの学習が行なわれる
。
また、（１７）は学習スタートを示す発光ダイオ−ド、
（１８）は学習完了（ＯＫ）を示す発光ダイオードであ
り、夫々にはＣＰ　Ｕ　（２）より入出力ボート（７）
を介して電流が流され発光制御される。
以上の構成において、ＣＰ　Ｕ　（２１は、第２図に示
すフローチャートに従って動作する。
まず、ステップ■で学習スイッチ（１６）の操作信号に
基づいて学習スイッチ（１６）がオンか否か判断する。
オンである場合には、ステップ■で受光部（１０）より
リモコンコードＲＣが出力されているか否かによりリモ
コン入力があるか否か判断する。リモコン入力がある場
合には、ステップ■で受光部（１０）からのリモコンコ
ードＲＣを旧リモコンコードＲＣＩとして、第３図に示
すように不揮発性メモリ（５）の所定アドレスに書き込
む。そして、ステップ■で発光ダイオード（１７）に入
出力ボート（７）を介して電流を流してオン（発光）と
し、学習スタートを示すと共に一定時間後にオフとする
。
つぎに、ステ・ノブ■で受光部（１０）よりリモコンコ
ードＲＣが出力されているか否かによりリモコン入力が
あるか否か判断する。リモコン入力がある場合には、ス
テップ■で受光部（１０）からのリモコンコードＲＣを
新リモコンコードＲＣ２として、第３図に示すように不
揮発性メモリ（５）の所定アドレスに、上述した旧リモ
コンコードＲＣＩに対応させて書き込む、そして、ステ
ップ■で発光ダイオード（１８）に入出力ボート（７）
を介して電流を流してオン（発光）とし、学習完了を示
すと共に、一定時間後にオフとし、ステップ■の判断に
戻る。
学習スイッチ（１６）がオンである間は、ＣＰＵ（２）
は以上のように動作し新リモコンコードＲＣ２を旧リモ
コンコードＲＣＩと対応させて不揮発性メモリ（５）に
順次書き込むことができ、学習が行なわれる。
また、ステップ■で学習スイッチ（１６）がオンでない
ときには、ステップ■でスイッチ（１２１）〜（１２Ｎ
）からのキー人力があるが否か判断する。
キー人力がないときにはステップ［相］に進むと共に、
キー人力があるときには、ステップ■で入出カポ−［９
１を介して制御信号を供給し、テレビジョン受像機をキ
ー人力の内容に対応した動作をするように制御してステ
ップ［相］に進む。
つぎに、ステップ［相］で受光部（１０）よりリモコン
コードＲＣが出力されているか否かによりリモコン入力
があるか否か判断する。リモコン入力がないときにはス
テップ■の判断に戻る。一方、リモコン入力があるとき
には、ステップ０でＲＯＭ（４）より旧リモコンコード
を読出し、ステップ＠で受光部（１０）からのリモコン
コードＲＣが旧リモコンコードであるか否か判断する。
旧リモコンコードであるときには、ステップ＠で入出力
ボート（９）を介して制御信号を供給し、テレビジョン
受像機をその旧リモコンコードの内容に対応した動作を
するように制御し、ステップ■の判断に戻る。
ステップ＠で旧リモコンコードＲＣＩでないと判断する
ときには、ステップ０で不揮発性メモリ（５）より新リ
モコンコードＲＣ２を読出し、ステップ■で受光部（１
０）からのリモコンコードＲＣが新リモコンコードＲＣ
２であるか否か判断する。
新リモコンコードＲＣ２でないときはステップ■の判断
に戻る。新リモコンコードＲＣ２であるときには、ステ
ップ［相］でその新リモコンコードＲＣ２に対応する旧
リモコンコードＲＣＩを不揮発性メモリ（５）より読み
出す。そして、ステップ０で入出力ボート（９）を介し
て制御信号を供給し、テレビジョン受像機をその旧リモ
コンコードＲＣＩの内容に対応した動作をするよう制御
し、ステップ■の判断に戻る。
学習スイッチ（１６）がオフであるときには以下上述し
た動作を繰り返す。
本例のテレビジョン受像機において、学習スイッチ（１
６）をオンとして、はじめに（第２図のステップ■■に
対応）、コマンダ（１１）としてこのテレビジョン受像
機のコマンダを用いてリモコン入力をし、そのリモコン
コードＲＣを旧リモコンコードＲＣＩとして不揮発性メ
モリ（５）に書き込むと共に、つぎに（第２図のステッ
プ■■に対応）、コマンダ（１１）として例えばリモコ
ンコードの異なるビデオテープレコーダのコマンダを用
いてすモコン入力をし、そのリモコンコードＲＣを新リ
モコンコードＲＣ２として不揮発性メモリ（５）に書き
込んで学習させたとする。この場合、学習スイッチ（１
６）がオフの状態でビデオテープレコーダのコマンダを
用いてリモコン入力をしても、そのリモコンコードＲＣ
は不揮発性メモリ（５）に新リモコンコードＲＣ２とし
て書き込まれており、テレビジョン受像機は、この新リ
モコンコードＲＣ２に対応して書き込まれている旧リモ
コンコードＲＣＩの内容に応じた動作をするように制御
されるので、テレビジョン受＠！機のコマンダを用いて
リモコン入力をしたときと同様にテレビジョン受像機の
動作を操作できる。したがって、本例によれば、リモコ
ンコードの異なる他のメーカーのビデオテープレコーダ
のコマンダを共通に用いてリモコン操作をすることがで
きる。
また、本例のテレビジョン受像機において、学習スイッ
チ（１６）をオンとして、はじめに（第２図のステップ
■■に対応）、コマンダ（１１）としてこのテレビジョ
ン受像機のコマンダを用いてビデオ出力への切換のリモ
コン入力をし、そのリモコンコードＲＣを旧リモコンコ
ードＲＣＩとして不揮発性メモリ（５）に書き込むと共
に、つぎに（第２図ステップ■■に対応）、コマンダ（
１１）として、例えばビデオテープレコーダのコマンダ
を用いて再生のリモコン入力をし、そのリモコンコード
ＲＣを新リモコンコードＲＣ２として不揮発性メモリ（
５）に書き込んで学習させたとする。この場　−１合、
学習スイッチ（１６）がオフの状態でビデオテープレコ
ーダのコマンダで再生のリモコン入力をすると、そのリ
モコンコードＲＣは不揮発性メモリ（５）に新リモコン
コードＲＣ２として書き込まれており、テレビジョン受
像機は、この新リモコンコードＲＣ２に対応して書き込
まれている旧リモコンコードＲＣＩに基づいて、ビデオ
出力に切換えられる。したがって、本例によれば、ビデ
オテープレコーダを再生して再生画面を見る場合、ビデ
オテープレコーダのコマンダで再生のリモコン操作をす
るだけで済むようになる。
尚、上述実施例は新リモコンコードＲＣ２を学習したと
きでも、新旧のリモコンコードでリモコン操作が可能と
されているが、新リモコンコードを学習したときには旧
リモコンコードを受は付けなくすることもできる。
また、上述実施例はテレビジョン受像機に通用した例で
あるが、本発明はリモコン操作の可能なその他の電子機
器に同様に適用することができる。
ところで、リモコンコードの学習に関しては特開昭６０
−２５４８９８号公報、特開昭６１−２３４９９号公報
に記載されているが、これらにおいてはコマンダでの学
習であり、本発明のように本体側に学習機能を設けるも
のとは異なるものである。コマンダで学習を行なうには
、コマンダに受光部が必要となるなど、コマンダが大型
化すると共に消費電力が大となるなどの不都合がある。
また、本発明のように本体側に学習機能を持たせるもの
でないので、単一のリモコン操作で例えばテレビジョン
受像機とビデオテープレコーダの動作を同時に制御する
ことはできない。
〔発明の効果〕
以上述べた実施例からも明らかなように本発明によれば
、本体側にリモコンコードの学習機能を持たせたので、
例えばメーカーの異なるテレビジョン受像機及びビデオ
テープレコーダを共通のコマンダで操作できるようにな
るなど、使用者の使い勝手の向上を図ることができる。

Claims (1)

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 リモートコントロール操作の可能な電子機器において、 本体側に、不揮発性メモリと、この不揮発性メモリに新
    旧のリモートコントロールコードを対応させて書き込む
    手段とが設けられ、 新リモートコントロールコードが入力されるとき、上記
    不揮発性メモリより対応する旧リモートコントロールコ
    ードが読み出され、この旧リモートコントロールコード
    によって動作が制御されるようにしたことを特徴とする
    電子機器。
