As disclosed in Utility Model Application Publication No. 57-15769,
The end of the side member (rear side frame) provided from the rear end of the vehicle body to the center of the vehicle body is connected to a vertical wall (forming part of the kick-up section) extending in the vehicle width direction of the floor panel (rear floor). ) and side sills for reinforcement. However, in the event of a rear-end collision, the collision force is directly applied to the end of the side member (also referred to as the rear side frame) at the center of the vehicle body (the front end of the rear side frame), causing the side member to buckle and deform. At the same time, the collision force from the rear is largely transmitted to the front end of the side member, and in the event of a rear collision, the vertical wall of the floor panel is pushed toward the passenger compartment by the front end of the side member, causing the floor panel to collapse. There is a risk that the vertical wall of the vehicle will be deformed in a large protruding manner toward the interior of the vehicle, and from the viewpoint of preventing deformation of the interior of the vehicle, it is still difficult to say that this is sufficient. Furthermore, although a gasoline tank is generally provided at the bottom of the floor panel, there is a risk that the gasoline tank may be damaged as the floor panel deforms in the event of a rear collision.

In addition to reinforcing the reinforcement itself, the rear bottom surface of the reinforcement is in contact with the bottom surface of the rear side frame, and the front bottom surface of the reinforcement is attached to the rear side frame with a gap. In addition to giving the reinforcement the function of a beam, the collision force from the rear is released as much as possible to the side sill side through the reinforcement.
The front end of the rear side frame in front of the reinforcement is prevented from applying collision force from the rear as much as possible, and the deformation of the rear floor kick-up section in the direction of the passenger compartment is prevented as much as possible. This is intended to further prevent deformation.

なつている。 FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing a schematic configuration of the rear body structure of an automobile according to the present invention. In this figure, 1 is a rear floor constituting a floor panel, 2 is a side sill, and 3 is a tire house.
is provided on the side of the vehicle body and extends in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body. A gasoline tank (not shown) is provided at the bottom of the rear floor 1, and the rear floor 1 has a staircase-shaped kick-up part 1a whose rear part is more raised than its front part.
1b is its vertical wall portion. A frame member 4 having a shape shown in FIG. 2 is provided on the lower surface of the rear floor 1. The side sill 2 is composed of a side sill outer 5 and a side sill inner 6, and the upper end portions 5a, 6a and the lower end portions 5b, 6b are respectively joined to form a closed cross-sectional shape as shown in FIG. It constitutes an internal space 7. The rear end portion of the side sill 2 is joined to the inner tire house of the tire house 3, as shown in FIG. The frame member 4 cooperates with the rear floor 1 to constitute a rear side frame having a closed cross-sectional shape and an internal space 8, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4. This frame member 4 is formed into a substantially U-shape and has a vertical wall portion 4a on the outside of the vehicle body and a vertical wall portion 4b on the inside of the vehicle body. This frame member 4 extends along the side of the vehicle body in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body, and is formed so that its rear portion is higher than its front portion along the pickup portion of the rear floor 1. This is a curved inclined portion that comes into contact with the vertical wall 1b. The front part of the vehicle body outer vertical wall part 4a is joined to the side sill inner 6, and the rear part thereof is joined to the tire house inner forming a part of the tire house 3. Here, the upper rear end of the outer vertical wall 4a of the vehicle body is sandwiched and joined by the inner tire house and the upright portion 1b of the rear floor panel 1, and the upper end of the inner vertical wall 4b of the vehicle body is bent. The bent portion 4c is formed by welding to the lower surface of the rear floor panel 1. This frame member 4 is provided with reinforcement 9. This reinforcement 9 is frame member 4
The front end of the reinforcement 9 is configured to remain closer to the rear of the vehicle body than the curved inclined portion 4d, and the rear thereof is configured to be close to the rear of the frame member 4. The reinforcement 9 has a substantially U-shaped cross section that opens upward, and has a pair of vertical walls 9a, 9b and a bottom 9c. The vertical wall portion 9a is welded to the vehicle body outer vertical wall portion 4a at predetermined intervals from its front end to its rear end, and its front portion is joined to the side sill inner 6 via the frame member 4, forming a triple structure. The vertical wall portion 9b is welded to the vehicle body inner vertical wall portion 4b at predetermined intervals from its front end to its rear end, and has a triple structure in which the rear portion is joined to the inner tire house via the frame member 4. Here, the rear part of the reinforcement 9 is formed wider than the front part to ensure the strength of the rear part of the vehicle body, and the bottom part 9c is configured to extend substantially linearly in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body, and the rear bottom surface As shown in Fig. 5, the reinforcement 9 is in contact with the rear bottom surface of the frame member 4, and is configured to receive the rear collision with two plates.
The front part of is located between the front bottom surface of frame member 4 and the gap 1.
0, as shown in FIG.
The closed cross-sectional internal space 8 of the frame member 4 is divided into two chambers in the vertical direction, and the front part of the reinforcement 9 is given a function as a beam to strengthen the front end of the frame member 4. In the event of a rear collision, the frame member located in front of the front end of the reinforcement 9 is designed to release the collision force applied in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body through the front end of the reinforcement 9 to the side sill 2 as much as possible. 4 is designed so that collision force is not applied to it as much as possible.

的に車室内の変形防止が図れるものである。 In FIG. 5, when the reinforcement 9 is not provided, when a rear collision force is applied to the rear of the automobile in the direction of arrow A, the collision force from the rear is directly applied to the front end of the frame member 4, and the vertical wall 1b will be hit by the front end of the frame member 4 and will be significantly deformed in the direction of the vehicle interior. However, when the reinforcement 9 is provided as in the present invention, the overall It is possible to prevent deformation inside the vehicle interior.

The structure has a gap with respect to the front bottom surface, which reduces the collision force from the rear (see Figure 5).
The collision force from the rear (see arrow F 2 in Figure 5) is applied to the front end of the frame member 4, which is located in front of the reinforcement 9, as much as possible by letting the collision force (see arrow F 2 in Fig. 5) escape to the side sill 2 as much as possible. Since the rear floor kick-up portion 1a is not easily deformed, deformation of the interior of the vehicle is prevented.

The front part of the reinforcement is attached to the rear side frame with a gap to strengthen the rear side frame, and the rear collision force is directly released to the side sill through the reinforcement in that direction. The front end of the frame member, which is located in front of the seat, was designed to avoid applying any collision force from the rear as much as possible, thereby reducing the impact force applied to the raised part of the rear floor. Even if the vehicle has a rear body structure with a rear floor, deformation of the interior of the vehicle can be further prevented than with conventional vehicles.
This also helps prevent the gas tank located at the bottom of the rear floor from deforming.
