従来の表示装置は、文字板の側面からランプな
どで光を透入して、文字板に刻むなどした文字を
光らせていたにすぎないので、画一的な感じしか

この考案はサーモペイントを巧みに利用して優
れた意匠効果を実現した表示装置である。第１図

たは、彫刻などにより刻設し、適宜色彩を施して
ある。照明ランプ３により、文字板１の側面より
文字板１の光を入射して、文字、数字など２が浮
き上つて見えるようにしてある。さらに、文字板
１の裏面に、サーモペイント４を印刷などにより
形成し、指針５に発熱体６を取りつけてある。し
かるときは、発熱体６により、指針５の位置がサ
ーモペイント膜４を通して看取されるので、指針
５付近の色彩が鮮明に変化し、指針５の位置を明
