[Detailed description of the invention] The present invention relates to a recording device used in a distance measuring device such as an "ultrasonic water level gauge" that measures water level using ultrasonic waves, and is particularly concerned with a recording device used in a distance measuring device such as an "ultrasonic water level meter" that measures water level using ultrasonic waves. , records that correspond to the basic scale range and records that correspond to the scale range that is a part of the basic scale range expanded several times, and refer to both records to improve the reading accuracy of measured values. This is how it was done.

In the case of water level measurement, if a commercially available recorder is used to record a scale range of 0 to 10 m, it is difficult to read in detail in centimeters because the width of the recording paper is limited.

Therefore, for distances of 1 m or less, there is a method of enlarging recording by increasing the speed of the recording pen using a mechanical switching means, but this method not only makes the device expensive but also lacks stability, which requires improvement. There are many left.

The present invention combines well-known means in the electronics field that are widely used, records the expanded scale range in addition to recording the basic scale range, and uses a commercially available recorder as is to record fine details. It is made to be easy to read, and specifically, the range from 0 to 10 m is divided into 1 m increments.
A signal output with a full scale of 1 m is obtained and is also shown.

In order to prevent the recording from being disturbed at the boundaries of 1m divisions and to enable continuous reading of any division, the number of digits of the reading scale in the basic scale range must be an odd number, an even number, or 0. If it is an even number or 0, the value of 1m or less is output as is, and if it is an odd number, the 9's complement is output for each digit of the value of 1m or less.In other words, it is a folded output method. It is as follows.

In Figure 1, S is a BCD 4-digit digital signal obtained by processing the received signals in the receiving system of the measuring device, 1, 2, 3, and 4 are latches corresponding to the units m, 10 cm, cm, and mm, respectively. 12, 13, and 14 are nine's complementers connected to latches 2, 3, and 4, respectively; 20 is a digital-to-analog converter; and P is an analog output sent to a recording pen (not shown).

In other words, if the most significant digit of the input digital signal is an odd number, the 9's complement of each of the lower three digits is sent to the digital-to-analog converter 20 and converted into an analog signal. If the number is even, the input signal is directly sent to the digital-to-analog converter 20 and becomes an analog signal.

In this way, if a two-dot recorder is used, one recording pen can record a full scale of 10 m, and at the same time, the other recording pen can always record a 1 m scale, making readings of meters or less easier and more accurate.

FIG. 2 shows a recording example, in which a solid curve 30 corresponds to a scale range of 0 to 10 m, and a dotted curve 40 corresponds to a scale range of 0 to 1 m. Here, for convenience, 0
Although the dotted line corresponds to ~1m, in actual cases it may be the same solid line record as 0~10m.
Furthermore, if both are displayed in different colors, they can be easily distinguished.

As mentioned above, in the enlarged part, when the m unit is an even number, the numbers on the scale increase in order from left to right in the figure, so for example, point A of curve 30 in the figure is an even number. Since it is in the 2m range, this A

Also, point B of curve 30 is an odd number in the 3m range, so read the cm value at point B' as 50cm (read on the scale below) and determine that point B is 3m50cm.
