Next, an embodiment of the present invention shown in the drawings will be described. FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view showing the state in which the heating device is attached to a vehicle, and the case 13 of the heater unit 12 attached to the floor plate 11 of the vehicle is made by combining two case components 13a and 13b with a U-shaped cross section. The inner case 14 and the case structure 1 incorporated therein are
3a, a flow path 15 is formed. The case structure 13a is attached to the lower surface of the floor plate 11 of the vehicle.
An air inlet 16 for feeding air from the vehicle interior into the flow path 15 is formed in the vehicle interior, and an air outlet 17 for discharging warm air into the vehicle interior is further formed.

A fan 19 driven by a motor 18 is provided inside the inner case 14, and a heater core 20 is provided to heat the air sent by the fan 19. Engine cooling water is fed into the heater core 20 through a conduit (not shown). The ratio of air passing through heater core 20 to air not passing through heater core 20 is controlled by mix door 21.

A duct 23, which has a substantially U-shaped cross section and has a heating chamber 22 formed therein, is supported between the inner case 14 and the case component 13b. This duct 23 has a muffler pipe 2
A conduit 25 connected to the heating chamber 22 is attached, and exhaust gas from the engine is supplied to the heating chamber 22 from the conduit 25 . The exhaust gas that has entered this is sent out to an exhaust pipe 28 behind the muffler 27 through a conduit 26 connected to the duct 23.
Each of the conduits 25 and 26 is formed with a bellows portion 29 for absorbing drive. In addition, 31 is the motor 18
This is a partition plate to prevent exhaust gas from entering.

Therefore, the air taken in from the air inlet 16 is heated by the heater core 20, and this heated hot air is further heated by the radiant heat from the heating chamber 22. As a result, even in a cold region, the flow path 15 is
The air inside the vehicle is no longer cooled, and suitable warm air can be supplied into the vehicle interior. Further, in the present invention, since the medium heated by the radiant heat from the heating chamber 22 is the air in the flow path 15, the heating efficiency is good.

As described above, according to the present invention, a heater unit case installed on the underside of the floorboard of a vehicle includes a fan that sucks air from an air inlet provided in the case, and a fan that sucks air from the air inlet provided in the case, and a fan that sucks air from the air inlet provided in the case. A heater core for heating and an air outlet for discharging warm air into the vehicle interior are provided, a flow path from the air inlet to the air outlet is formed in the case, and a heating chamber through which exhaust gas from the engine flows is provided. Since it is formed adjacent to the flow path in the case, the warm air that is heated by the heater core due to the radiant heat of the engine exhaust gas and then discharged into the passenger compartment is further directly heated, especially in cold weather. It has become possible to improve heating performance in the ground.
