Conventionally, as a light source for facsimile, a means has been used in which a linear light source using a fluorescent lamp or a monochromatic light emitting diode is used to illuminate the document surface, and the reflected light is received by a sensor and photoelectrically converted. Light sources used in copying machines and the like include fluorescent lamps, halogen lamps, and xenon lamps.
However, these light sources have the following drawbacks.

In the above example, since the light emitting diodes are arranged in a straight line, the irradiation position does not change even if the emitted light color is changed, which is very advantageous when reading a document. Furthermore, by adding a light emitting diode that emits light of another color with a different wavelength (for example, one that emits blue light), it is possible to create a light source that has three different light emitting wavelengths: red, green, and blue. Figures 5a and b show the light focusing path in this structure. By changing the diameter of the rod-shaped lens, it is possible to easily change the distance f 1 to the focal point of the light focusing system, and it is also possible to easily change the distance f 1 to the focal point of the light focusing system. By changing the position, the irradiation width can also be freely selected. In the condensing optical path shown in FIG. 5b, the light emitting diode 4 is arranged at a position such that the light emitted from the light emitting diode 4 is reflected by the reflective frame 2 and enters the rod-shaped lens 3 in parallel.

As explained above, according to the present invention, the light source is a light source in which light emitting diodes of different emitting colors are arranged alternately in a straight line and combined with a reflective frame and a rod-shaped lens, so it has multiple emitting colors (emitting wavelengths). It is possible to obtain a strip-shaped light source, the irradiation width and brightness can be easily changed, the structure is simple and it is suitable for mass production, the irradiation length can be easily changed, and the irradiation can be performed even if the emission color is changed. This has the effect that the positions are the same.
