Prior Art As is well known, the battery stack 1 includes a unit cell in which an electrolyte matrix is interposed between negative and positive gas electrodes;
A terminal board and a heat-resistant insulating plate (none of them are shown) are stacked with carbonaceous gas separation plates (none of which are shown) that have cathode and reaction gas passages formed on each side.
It is tightened and fixed between the upper and lower contact plates 2 through . Further, the upper and lower contact plates 2, 2 each have an external terminal 3 extending from the terminal plate by penetrating the insulating plate and the contact plate.

Inlet and outlet manifolds 4, 4 for air supply and inlet and outlet manifolds 5, 5 for hydrogen supply are attached to each opposing side of the battery stack 1, respectively. A frame-shaped sealing member 8 made of heat-resistant and acid-resistant fluorine rubber is interposed between the manifold mounting collars 6 and 7, and is fastened to the upper and lower contact plates 2, 2 of the stack with bolts 9.

However, in this method, the only tightening points for the manifolds 4 and 5 are the upper and lower mounting flanges 6, 6, and the left and right mounting flanges 7,
7 cannot be tightened due to its structure, so the left and right mounting flanges cannot provide sufficient pressure against the seal member 8 in the stacking direction, resulting in poor sealing performance, and only the top and bottom are fixed due to the difference in thermal expansion between the manifold and the stack. In the manifold, the mounting collar 7 in the stacking direction is deformed and a gap is created on the sealing surface. As a result, the efficiency decreases due to leakage of each reaction gas, and the battery is damaged due to heat generation due to contact between the two gases, resulting in a decrease in battery performance and life. This becomes a serious problem especially when the number of stacked cells increases to 200 cells or more.

DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION The present invention solves the above problem by reinforcing the sealing performance of the sealing surface in the stacking direction, which cannot be tightened with bolts. The angle members applied to the pair of mounting flanges adjacent to each other via packing are tightened and fixed with nuts that are screwed onto the screw bases attached to the upper and lower stack plates, and then attached to the pair of mounting flanges. The point is to press it.

Next, the angle material 11 is applied onto the pair of mounting flanges 7, 7 adjacent to each other at the corner portions in the stacking direction via the <-shaped heat-resistant packing 10 made of fluoro rubber. Bolt stands 13 having bolt through holes 12 are welded to both upper and lower ends of the angle member 11 extending from the stack 1, respectively. On the other hand, thread bases 15 of bolts 14 are welded near each corner on the upper and lower stack plates 2.

Effects According to the present invention, an angle material is applied via packing onto a pair of manifold mounting flanges adjacent to each other at the corners of a battery stack in the stacking direction, and the angle material is tightened to the upper and lower abutment plates of the stack. By fixing, the pair of mounting flanges are pressed, so the sealing performance of the sealing surface in the stacking direction, which cannot be tightened with bolts, is reinforced, preventing a drop in efficiency due to gas leakage and contact between the two gases. Damage to the cell due to heat generation can be prevented.

Further, since the reinforcement of the sealing surface in the stacking direction uses angle members applied over the corner portions, it has the advantage of being structurally simple and compact.
