During tunnel excavation work, in order to prevent water from flowing out and ensure smooth progress of the work, a hole over ten meters in length for chemical injection is drilled into the ground at the site of the water leakage, and a chemical injection pipe is inserted into the hole. A chemical solution for ground solidification is injected from the tip of the pipe to solidify the ground and prevent water from flowing out, and then the tunnel is excavated, leaving a water stop zone. Traditionally, chemical injection pipes made of vinyl chloride resin have been used, but when PVC pipes remain in solidified ground, they cling to the drill bit during excavation work, making it difficult to drain water smoothly. It was hot. The use of glass pipes instead of PVC pipes was proposed,
In the case of glass tubes, they can sufficiently withstand the internal pressure during injection of chemical solutions, and can be easily crushed with a drill bit.
Since it is easily washed away by water flow, it contributes to improving excavation efficiency.

The outer diameter of glass tubes usually varies by about ±0.5mm. Therefore, when connecting a pair of glass tubes at a construction site, a cylindrical sleeve is first inserted and glued onto the outer periphery of the connecting end of the glass tube, and then a coupling bush and socket are used to connect the pair of glass tubes. However, due to variations in the outer diameter of the tube, it is necessary to use a sleeve with pre-slits or to prepare sleeves with various inner diameters.

Cylindrical sleeves 3 and 4 are bonded in advance to the outer circumferences of the connecting ends of the glass tubes 1 and 2 to be connected using an adhesive. The diameter of the glass tube changes at each connecting end, so the sleeve should be made of heat-softening material such as vinyl chloride resin, and the inner diameter should be the smallest value of the outside diameter among the changes in the glass tube diameter. To attach the sleeve to the outer periphery of the connecting end of the glass tube, first heat and soften the sleeve, apply adhesive to the inner surface of the sleeve and/or the outer periphery of the glass tube, and then attach the sleeve to the outer periphery of the connecting end of the glass tube. Insert it into the end and glue the two together. Even if the outer diameter of the tube is about 1 mm larger than the inner diameter of the sleeve, by softening the sleeve, it can be easily inserted and no gaps will be created. To soften the sleeve, for example, put the sleeve in a dryer at a temperature of 110℃ for 1 to 2 hours.
Heating for a minute is sufficient. At the ends of the connecting ends of the sleeves 3 and 4, there is a flange portion 6 that protrudes inward.
7 is preferably provided, and has the function of preventing the connecting ends of the glass tubes from coming into direct contact with each other, preventing breakage, and increasing watertightness. 8,9
is an annular elastic ring made of neoprene rubber or the like, and is fitted onto the outer periphery of the glass tubes 1 and 2 in contact with the ends opposite to the connecting ends of the sleeves 3 and 4, respectively. Reference numeral 10 denotes a cylindrical joint bushing, which has a threaded portion 11 on its outer periphery, and is attached along the outer periphery of the glass tube from the end (not shown) opposite to the connecting end of the glass tube 1. It is brought into contact with the elastic ring 8. A cylindrical socket 12 having a threaded portion 13 on one end of the inner periphery and a protrusion 14 on the inner periphery of the other end is attached from the end opposite to the connecting end of the glass tube 2, The protrusion 14 of the socket is connected to the elastic ring 9.
and engage the threaded part 11 of the coupling bush 10 and the threaded part 13 of the socket,
Complete the concatenation.

In the joint structure of the present invention, even if the diameter of the connecting end of the glass tube varies, it can be adequately coped with by using a heat-softening sleeve. In addition, the use of elastic rings maintains watertightness and enables quick assembly on site.
