Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent an air-conditioning machine from causing wetting on articles or men under said machine due to the scattering of water, produced by dehumidification, to the outside of an indoor unit, by a method wherein at least one sheet out of every two sheets of fins for the heat exchange of a heat exchanger is provided with a notch on the lower part thereof. CONSTITUTION:A heat exchanger 12 is constituted so that oblong fins 11 with an ordinary length and pentagonal fins 13 with a notch 13' cut horizontally so as not to contact with water 10 produced by dehumidifiation and reserved in a dew reserving pan 8, are arranged alternately. Acoordingly, a surface tension, applied on the water 10, produced by dehumidification and reserved in the dew receiving pan 8 which receives air pressure generated by a fan 6, is reduced, therefore, the height of water level, which ascends between fins 11, becomes lower and the water 10 may be prevented from scattering. Even when the water scatters, the arriving distance thereof becomes shorter and the water 10 drops into the dew receiving pan 8 again as shown by an arrow sign F in a diagram. Accordingly, the title air-conditioning machine may be prevented from the possibility of wetting articles or men under said machine.

Conventional technology In recent years, ceiling-mounted air conditioners have become thinner in order to reduce the space occupied indoors and reduce the feeling of pressure, and the heat exchanger is tilted and built into the unit. There is. The structure of this type of conventional air conditioner will be explained with reference to FIGS. 3 and 4.

FIG. 3 shows an indoor unit of a conventional ceiling-suspended air conditioner, in which 1 is an outer box and 2 is a partition plate to partition a heat exchange chamber 3 and a ventilation chamber 4. The ventilation chamber 4 includes a suction port 5, a blower 6, etc., and the heat exchange chamber 3 includes a heat exchanger 7, a dew pan 8, an air outlet 9, etc. Air sucked in from the suction port 5 in the direction of the arrow A is sent by the blower 6 and proceeds in the direction of the arrow B, and after being cooled by the heat exchanger 7, it passes through the air outlet 9 and exits in the direction of the arrow C. At this time, the dehumidified water adhering to the heat exchanger 7 is temporarily collected in the dew pan 8 and drained to the outside of the indoor unit through a drain pipe (not shown).

Problems to be Solved by the Invention However, in the above structure, due to the wind pressure from the blower 6, the dehumidified water 10 accumulated in the dew pan 8 flows between the fins 11 of the inclined heat exchanger 7 due to the effect of surface tension. , it rises in the direction of the arrow, and sometimes its momentum is too high! It has the disadvantage that it scatters in the direction of arrow E, flies out of the indoor unit from the air outlet 9, and wets objects and people below the air conditioner mounted on the ceiling.

This can be said to be a fatal problem for air conditioners, as it could lead to liability issues if there were expensive items under the air conditioner that should not get wet. Therefore, it is an object of the present invention to provide an air conditioner in which dehumidified water does not scatter outside the indoor unit and wet objects and people below the air conditioner.

Means for Solving the Problems In order to solve the above problems, the air conditioner of the present invention has a heat exchanger in which the lower part of the heat exchange fins is cut at least every other fin. .

Function The present invention, as configured above, increases the fin pitch of the portion that contacts or may come into contact with the dehumidified water collected in the lower part of the heat exchanger, that is, the dew pan, thereby removing dehumidified water subjected to wind pressure. This reduces the surface tension that acts on the dehumidified water, lowers the height of the dehumidified water rising between the fins, prevents the dehumidified water from scattering, and shortens the distance that the dehumidified water reaches even if it does, and prevents it from falling into the dew pan again. It was intended for

EXAMPLE An example of the present invention will be described below with reference to the attached FIGS. 1 and 2. Note that the same numbers are used for the same parts as in the conventional example. FIG. 1 shows an indoor unit of a ceiling-suspended air conditioner according to the present invention, in which 1 is an outer box, 2 is a partition plate, and a heat exchange chamber 3
and partitions the ventilation chamber 4. The ventilation chamber 4 includes a suction port 5, a blower 6, etc., and the heat exchange chamber 3 includes a heat exchanger 12, a dew pan 8, an air outlet 9, etc. Here, as shown in FIG. 2, the heat exchanger 12 has rectangular fins 11 of normal length and a notch 13' horizontally canted so as not to come into contact with the dehumidified water 1o accumulated in the dewing plate 8. Since the pentagonal fins 13 are arranged one by one, the pitch of the fins 11 in contact with the dehumidified water 10 is twice that of the conventional example.

Therefore, the surface tension acting on the dehumidified water 1Q accumulated in the dehumidifying dish 8 that has been subjected to the wind pressure from the blower 6 becomes smaller.
The height of the water surface rising between the fins 11 becomes lower, and dehumidified water no longer scatters. Moreover, even if it scatters, the distance it reaches is shortened and it falls into the dew pan 8 again as shown by arrow F.

Effects of the Invention As is clear from the above explanation, the air conditioner of the present invention has cutouts at least every other fin at the bottom of the heat exchange fins of the heat exchanger. It is effective in preventing the air conditioner from scattering outside the indoor unit and getting things under the air conditioner and people underneath it wet.
