For internal combustion engines, it consists of a center electrode, an insulator that surrounds and fixedly supports the insulator, and a mounting bracket that houses and fixes the insulator and has an outer electrode protruding from its tip to form a spark gap between the center electrode and the center electrode. In a spark plug, an axial slit is formed in the body of the mounting bracket, and when a support ring is attached to the body of the mounting bracket, the upper part of the support ring is bent inward so as to come in contact with both sides of the slit. An annular metal-covered pressure sensor is installed in a U-shaped groove of the support ring made of metal, which has an approximately U-shaped cross section with an outer wall having two tongue pieces, a bottom wall, and an inner wall.
