For example, the main body is made of metal such as iron or cast iron, and the handle is made of mulberry wood. However, this type of ash spoon requires a strong connection between the main body and the handle, which requires time and effort, and therefore has the disadvantage that it is expensive and cannot be mass-produced. There are also furnace ash spoons whose main body and handle are made of cast metal and wrapped with bamboo skin, etc., but such spoons have drawbacks such as being heavy and expensive. are doing.

The material used for this ash spoon is a metal material such as copper or silver. In particular, the main body portion 1 is formed by casting this metal material into an oval shape and rolling it out to a thickness of about 0.8 mm to 1 mm. It becomes slightly thinner toward the tip, and is inclined at a constant angle of about 50 degrees with respect to the direction of the handle part 2. Of course, this angle of inclination varies depending on the type of spoon, that is, its purpose, but this angle is suitable when making an ash mold as a spoon for a stove.

The handle portion 2 is integral with the main body portion 1 and the connecting portion 3, and is formed from a plate-shaped metal material into a tubular shape by continuing the bending of the connecting portion 3. If this bending process is machined, the ash spoon can be mass-produced. Moreover, since the main body part 1 and the handle part 2 are integral, there is no need for a joining process between the two. The outer diameter of the tube of the handle portion 2 can be set to a desired value by adjusting the width of the original plate, but it is set to a predetermined value depending on the size of the main body portion 1 of the spoon, the purpose of use of the spoon, etc. The surface is polished to give it a nice texture and a high quality finish.

is attached in the form of a stamp (processing). Therefore, part 2 of the handle also functions as a scale, and is useful for measuring or comparing the left and right heights of horizontal lines, front and back heights, etc. when making a ash mold, for example, a two-character oshikiri ash mold. It is also useful to equalize the width when inserting.

いる。 As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the shape of the connecting portion 3 is bent toward the bottom surface so that a curved surface appears on the top surface and the beauty of the ash spoon is not impaired. Similarly, the handle part 2 is bent into a circular shape toward the bottom (downward) side, and its end surfaces are butted into a single straight line 2L. Through such ingenuity in processing, consideration has been given to maintaining the quality of the ash spoon for tea ceremonies.

For example, the material of the spoon is not limited to steel, but metal materials such as iron, aluminum, and stainless steel can also be used. Materials that can be processed by sheet metal processing, forging, etc. are desirable. Furthermore, the shape of the main body of the spoon is not only oval, but also large, and this idea can be applied to various types of hai spoons such as Rikyu Ko, Shoan Ko, and Gengen Saiko. Furthermore, although the illustrated example shows a ash spoon with a scale attached to the handle, it is not necessarily a condition of this invention that the scale be attached. Further, when a scale is attached, the unit is not limited to cm or mm, but may be a scale in dimensions.

する。 Since the ash spoon for tea ceremony provided by this invention is as detailed above, it is possible to provide the ash spoon used for preparing the charcoal of the wind stove and hearth at the tea ceremony and tea ceremony at a low cost without compromising the quality of the tea ceremony. can. In other words, the main body and handle of the spoon are made of a single piece of metal and can be formed by forging or sheet metal molding, making it inexpensive to manufacture and suitable for mass production. In addition, the ash spoon is simple in shape, lightweight, aesthetically pleasing, and suitable for tea ceremonies.
