4の中央部分には外筒2との間に、シール部材を
含む分離壁8が設けられる。この分離壁8を挾ん
で外筒2に設けた一対の油孔9A,9B間には、
この両油孔に連通するオリフイス12aを伸長時
には閉じ、圧縮時には開く逆止弁13を設けてい
る。この逆止弁13は、該弁軸13aが操作杆1
6に摺動自在に挿入されており、またこの弁軸1

中に制動を掛けると、操作レバー15を介して操
作杆16が押され、その押圧力によりコイルばね
19を介してばね板17の外周が湾曲し、逆止弁
13を押すまで順次減衰力が働き、その後オリフ
イス12aを完全に閉じることで油孔9A,9B
を閉塞しフロントフオークの沈み込みが防止され
るようになつている。なお、オリフイス12aは
複数の径の異なるオリフイス12b,12cによ
つて調整できるようになつている。

孔11Aを閉じる逆止弁23がコイルばね24に
よつて保持され、オリフイス25aによつて急激
な圧力変化がある場合には、この油孔11A,1
1Bを流れる減衰機構によつて伸長するようにな
つている。この減衰機構にも前記と同様オリフイ
ス25aのほかに複数の径の異なるオリフイス2
