[Detailed description of the invention] [Field of industrial application] The present invention is a setting block that allows the glass to be accurately set in the sash, etc. when fitting the glass into the sash, such as metal fittings or window windows. It is related to.

Conventionally, when glass is fitted into metal fittings or sashes, if the glass is brought into direct contact with the sashes or fittings, the glass may be damaged due to differences in thermal conductivity or vibrations during opening and closing of the fittings.

In addition, if the glass is accurately cut to match the sash but the sash is erected at a slant, the glass should be tilted to match the sash when fitting the glass so that it can be fitted accurately. There is a need. Conventionally, in order to meet this need, lead or the like was fitted at the lower end of the sash, that is, at a position that supported the lower end of the glass plate, and this lead supported the weight of the glass, avoiding direct contact between the glass and the sash, and supporting the glass plate. This allows the settings to be performed accurately. In recent years, with the development of synthetic resins, blocks made of synthetic resin, which has a hardness comparable to that of lead, are being used instead of lead. The block is cut with a knife so that the glass can be fitted accurately. However, cutting this block with a knife is difficult and dangerous because the block has a hardness of 90. The present invention was developed in view of this.

The setting block is formed using a weather-resistant synthetic resin to have the required hardness specified in the standard construction specifications, that is, a hardness of 90 or more. As shown in Figures 1 and 2 in detail, the main body A of this setting block has a size or width that allows it to be inserted into the groove of the sash or the glass fitting groove of the fittings, and that can sufficiently support the weight of the glass itself. It is made to have a certain height and length. For example, width 10~
20mm, height 8-15mm, length 3-5cm,
This size is just an example and is not limited to this. This prismatic block body A is constructed by stacking a plurality of plate-like bodies 1, 2, 3, . . . having different thicknesses in the longitudinal direction. For example, if the thickness of the block body is 10 mm, a 3 mm thick block and a 2 mm thick block should be stacked on top of a 5 mm thick block. This is just an example, but each thickness of the plate-like body can be determined appropriately.
In addition, the number of plate-like bodies to be stacked is also 3 in the illustrated embodiment.
However, this number may be 4 or more. The plate-like bodies 1, 2, 3, etc. are stacked and formed integrally by extrusion or other means, and each plate-like body is placed at one edge in the longitudinal direction of the plate-like body so as not to be separated from each other. The connecting pieces a are integrally formed with the plate-shaped body so as to be connected to each other. This connecting piece a is of such a size that it can simply connect the plate-like bodies, and when necessary, one or two plate-like bodies can be raised using the connecting piece as a fulcrum, and furthermore, it can be held up with a knife or the like. This allows the block to be easily torn apart when not in use, so that the thickness of the block can be easily adjusted at the glass fitting site. Further, a rib d is provided in a protruding manner at a position symmetrical to the connecting piece a, and as shown in FIG. 4, each plate-shaped body is parallel to each other by the connecting piece and the rib, and the upper and lower surfaces of the block are kept parallel. It should be noted that there are slight gaps b and c between the plate-shaped bodies 1, 2, 3... before use due to the connecting pieces and ribs.
After use, due to the weight of the glass, each of the plate-like bodies is brought into close contact with each other, supporting the glass as if they were a single body. The setting block of the present invention can also be used as a shock absorbing material in the direction of construction.

According to the present invention, each plate is connected to the setting block at a part that can be easily torn apart, and is connected to one end of the block, and is provided on the free end side of the upper surface of each plate. The block body is formed by stacking multiple plate-shaped bodies while maintaining parallelism, so it is possible to easily and quickly adjust the thickness of the block body without cutting with a knife at the glass fitting site. can be adjusted, which improves work efficiency, is safe, and has advantages such as being able to hold the glass plate accurately.
