[Detailed description of the invention] The present invention relates to packaging and other cushioning materials made of flexible synthetic resin foam sheets, and aims to provide one that can exhibit extremely excellent cushioning and protection effects, especially when used as an underlay cushioning material. It was devised,
The main sheet is made of a flexible foamed sheet having a large number of parallel protrusions on one or both sides, and sheet pieces made of the same foamed sheet as described above are overlapped at required locations to partially form a multilayer. The overlapping part can be used as a part for regulating the movement of the object to be protected or as a pressure receiving part, and the sheet pieces are superimposed on the main sheet in a direction in which their protrusions intersect with each other, and their peripheral edges are fused. The above effect is further enhanced by sealing air between the two.

Next, embodiments of the present invention will be described based on the drawings.
1 is a main sheet made of a flexible synthetic resin foam sheet having a large number of protrusions 2 parallel to one direction on one or both sides; 3 is a sheet piece made of the same foam sheet as described above; The sheet pieces 3 are overlapped to form a partially multi-layered structure, and in particular, the sheet piece 3 is overlapped with the main sheet 1 in a direction in which the protrusions 2, 2 of both of them intersect with each other, so that the peripheral edge thereof is heated and melted. air is sealed between the two. 4 represents the multilayer portion, and 5 represents the heat-sealed portion. As the flexible synthetic resin foam sheet,
Polyolefin resin foams such as polyethylene, polypropylene, and copolymers mainly composed of these, particularly foamed sheets produced by extrusion foam molding, are preferably used.

In the embodiments shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the main sheet 1 is a rectangular sheet having a large number of protrusions 2 on one side.
A substantially triangular sheet piece 3 made of the same foam sheet as described above is placed on the four corners of the main sheet 1 on the side with the ridges, with the ridges side facing up, and the four corners are This shows the case where it is formed into multiple layers. Furthermore, in the embodiments shown in FIGS. 3 and 4,
This figure shows the case where sheet pieces 3 having substantially the same length as the width of the main sheet 1 made of the same foamed sheet as described above are stacked in parallel at required intervals in the longitudinal direction to form a multilayer portion 4. In addition, the shape and size of the main sheet 1 and the shape and overlapping position of the sheet pieces 3 can be set as appropriate depending on the purpose of use, manner of use, and type and shape of the target article. For example, as shown in FIG. It is also possible to overlap the main sheet 1 by partially overlapping the sheet pieces 3, 3, as shown in FIG.

Also, regarding the overlapping state of the main sheet 1 and the sheet piece 3, various implementations other than the above embodiments are possible depending on the type and combination of foam sheets used therein. For example, as shown in FIG. It is also possible to stack the sheet piece 3 on the flat side of the main sheet 1 having the ridges 2, as shown in FIG. 1, or, as shown in FIGS. 8 and 9, one or both of the main sheet 1 and the sheet piece 3 may be made of foamed sheets having protrusions 2, 2 on both sides. Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 10, it is also possible to configure one or both of the main sheet 1 and the sheet pieces 3 with a plurality of foam sheets.

The direction of the protrusions 2 of the foam sheet used for the main sheet 1 and the sheet piece 3 is the same direction as the orientation direction of the foam sheet by extrusion molding, that is, the extrusion direction;
Alternatively, the direction may be perpendicular or diagonal to the extrusion direction. Particularly when the foam sheet has protrusions perpendicular or diagonal to the extrusion direction as described above, the tear resistance is increased. This is more suitable in practice. In addition, the protrusions 2 of the foam sheet may be of various shapes, such as irregularities with a roughly corrugated cross section as shown in FIGS. 1 to 10, square cross sections as shown in FIG. Can be formed into a cross-sectional shape,
The spacing, height, etc. of the protrusions 2 can be arbitrarily set depending on the thickness of the foam sheet and the purpose of use.

As described above, the present invention provides a main sheet 1 made of a flexible synthetic resin foam sheet such as a polyolefin resin foam having a large number of parallel protrusions 2 on one or both sides of the main sheet 1. Since it is formed by overlapping sheet pieces 3 of
When used as an underlying cushioning material for a substantially spherical article or a cylindrical or cylindrical article whose lower part is rounded and easily rolls, the multilayer portion 4 can be used as a means for positioning the placed article or preventing rolling. For example, when dealing with fruits such as watermelons or other approximately spherical articles, by using a cushioning material having multi-layered portions 4 made of sheet pieces 3 at the peripheral edges such as the four corners of the main sheet 1 as shown in FIG. The multilayer part 4 can restrict the rolling of the article placed in the center of the multilayer part 4 and hold it stably and reliably, and when a cylindrical or cylindrical article is targeted, the sheet pieces 3 can be attached at required intervals. By using a cushioning material as shown in FIG. 3 having a multi-layered portion 4 and placing it between the multi-layered portions 4 as shown in FIG. 14, the article, which tends to roll, can be reliably held in a predetermined position. Moreover, the elasticity and cushioning properties of the main sheet 1 and sheet piece 3 made of flexible foamed sheets are doubled by the thickness and space retention properties of the protrusions 2, and this and the multilayer portion 4 Combined with the retention effect caused by this, it can exhibit an excellent buffer protection effect. Further, in the multilayer portion 4, the sheet piece 3 is stacked on the main sheet 1 so that the protrusions 2, 2 of both are overlapped and heat-sealed at the peripheral edge, and air is sealed between them. Therefore, in addition to the elasticity and cushioning properties of the material, the enclosed internal air also provides excellent cushioning and shock absorption properties, making the contact with the target object even more elastic and good. There is no risk of damaging the surface of the item. In particular, when the protrusions 2 of the main sheet 1 and the sheet pieces 3 are on the surface, not only does it have an excellent anti-slip effect, but also the recesses between the protrusions 2 and 2 improve the air permeability between the protrusions 2 and the target article. It can be suitably used as a cushioning material to protect articles that require breathability.

Furthermore, the cushioning material of the present invention takes advantage of the fact that the multi-layered portion 4 made by stacking the sheet pieces 3 is thicker than other portions and has excellent elasticity and cushioning properties, as described above. The multi-layered portion 4 can be provided at a load-receiving part of the article and used as a pressure-receiving part as shown in FIG. 15, and can exhibit an efficient and excellent buffer protection effect on the article to be protected.
It also saves on materials.

In this way, the present invention is designed to utilize a partial multilayer portion formed by overlapping sheet pieces as a part that regulates the movement of the object to be protected or a pressure receiving part depending on the type and purpose of the object. It is convenient and versatile, and can exhibit excellent cushioning and protection effects, and can be suitably used as an underlay cushioning material for displaying products such as fruits in stores, and as a packaging material for various products. .
