プの製法に関するものである。

ダイヤモンドチツプソーはダイヤモンドチツプ
を刃先とする鋸であつて、鋼材や石材等の硬質材
料を切削するに適したものであり、他の鋸に比べ
て格段に切削能率の高いものであるが、反面従来
のものは、切削時に刃先の部分に水を注いで冷却
しなければならないので作業をする場所や使用す
る鋸装置が制限される不具合があつた。即ち、こ
れはダイヤモンドチツプをソーブレードに熔接し
て取付けることに原因するのであつて、被切削材
料を切削しようとすると被切削材料とダイヤモン
ドチツプとの間に摩擦熱が生じこの熱によつて熔
接金属が軟化してダイヤモンドチツプが脱落する
ので刃先の部分に水を注いで摩擦熱を取除き、そ
の部分の温度の上昇を抑えなければならないので
ある。しかしながら、この様な不具合があるにも
拘わらずダイヤモンドチツプソーをドライで使用
することも多いのであつて、例えば木造建築の作
業場では、水道管やガス管を敷設するために基礎
コンクリート等を切削する場合があるが、この場
合には刃先の部分に水を注いだのでは、これが飛
散して柱等を汚すことと、木工用の電動鋸が備え
られていることから、ダイヤモンドチツプソーを
電動鋸に取付けて、ドライの作業が行なわれる。
その結果、ソーブレードから離脱して高速で飛び
散つたダイヤモンドチツプが作業者を負傷させる
事故が発生するのである。

のち焼成して形成する点に着目し、成形の段階で

ことにより、ダイヤモンドチツプと取付片とを一
体化するものである。

のである。更に詳しく説明すると取付片2はソー
ブレード3の厚みとほゞ同一又はこれより僅かに
広い間隔の二枚の板材から成つており、且つ、ダ
イヤモンドチツプ1に一体的に固着されていて、
ソーブレード3の所定の位置を挾んでビス止め、
スポツト熔接等により固着するのである。続いて
取付片2をダイヤモンドチツプ1に固定する方法
について説明する。先ず、二枚の板材a,bの間
隔を一定にするために両者をあらかじめ連結す
る。連結する方法については特に限定はしない
が、両板材a,bと連結部材4とは一枚の鋼板を
折り曲げると共に、連結部材4は一部を打ち抜い
て形成する。連結部材4に打ち抜き部分を作るの
は、云うまでもなく連結部材4をダイヤモンドチ
ツプ1に埋め込むことによつてこれを掴持させる
ものであつて、その効果を高めるために連結部材
4は第2図に示すようにフラツトに形成するほ
か、山形に形成してもよく、或いは第4図に示す
ように一枚の板材をコ字状に折り曲げ、天井部分
の一部を突き上げて、この部分をダイヤモンドチ
ツプ1に埋め込むようにしてももとより差しつか
えない。そして、この様に成形した取付片2をダ
イヤモンドチツプ1に取付けるには、粉粒体材料
を成形するに際して連結部材4を成形物の下部に
埋め込んで成形する。次いでこれを常法により焼
成して仕上げるのである。

接触する面をあらかじめ表面処理することによ
り、ダイヤモンドチツプ1を構成する粉粒体同志
が接着する力とほゞ同一の力で接着するが、更に
加えて連結部材4がダイヤモンドチツプ1に埋め
込まれているため、たとえダイヤモンドチツプ1
が高温状態になつても、両者いずれか一方が破壊
するまではダイヤモンドチツプ1が取付片2から
離反することはないのである。この様なことか
ら、ダイヤモンドチツプソーは水を注ぎかけるこ
となく、ドライの状態で使用することができるの
であり、その結果ダイヤモンドチツプソーは木工
用電動鋸やその他の工作機に取付けて使用するこ
とができるので使用範囲が著しく拡大し、また作
業中に周囲に汚濁液が飛散することがないから使
用場所を限定されることもない。しかも作業中に
ダイヤモンドチツプが脱落して人身事故を起す虞
れも解消され、安全で且つ能率のよい作業を行な
うことができるのである。
