Claims

[Scope of Claim for Utility Model Registration] An electronic component in which an electronic component element is sandwiched between terminals within a case, and the ends of these terminals protrude outside the case, wherein said terminal is exposed to an abnormally overheated temperature from said electronic component element. 1. A heat generating component with a safety device, comprising: a bimetal that deforms in the direction of separation; and a contact electrode that is pressed against the bimetal and comes into contact with the electronic component element at normal temperature.
