The indoor unit of the air conditioner is placed in the front tunnel at the rear of the vehicle on the dashboard panel inside the vehicle.
A convex portion integral with the unit case is formed protrudingly on the outer surface of the lower bottom of the indoor unit, and a bracket having a fitting hole into which the convex portion of the indoor unit fits is fixedly provided on the floor tunnel portion. The indoor unit is placed on the bracket by fitting the convex part into the fitting hole through the vibration isolating rubber, and the indoor unit is placed at an appropriate position facing the cowl or the upper part of the dash panel through the vibration isolating rubber. A mounting structure for an indoor unit of an automobile air conditioner, characterized in that the unit is fastened to a cowl or a dash panel.
