An embodiment of the present invention will be described below based on the drawings. 1 is a box-shaped support frame installed on a base 2. The lifting shaft 3 passes through the support frame 1, and the lifting shaft 3
A floating body 4 is swingably supported at the lower end of the floating body 4. The lifting shaft 3 is a screw shaft of a ball screw mechanism, and has a thread groove 5 on its circumferential surface over almost its entire length. It is rotatably supported by thrust bearings 8 and 9. The outer periphery of the nut 7 is configured as a gear portion 7a, and the gear portion 7a of the nut 7 meshes with a gear 11 of an input shaft of a generator 10 installed within the support frame 1. The generator 10 can obtain output by rotating the input shaft in either forward or reverse directions. Note that the elevating shaft 3 may be provided with an appropriate rotation stopper.

The floating body 4 has a support pipe 13 protruding from the center of a hollow plate-shaped floating body body 12, and a plate-shaped reinforcing rib 14 between the upper surface of the floating body body 12 and the support pipe 13.
It was set up on the side. The floating body 4 is supported by the lifting shaft 3 by rotatably supporting a rotary support shaft 15 fixed to the upper end of the support pipe 13 of the floating body 4 by a bracket 16 provided at the lower end of the lifting shaft 3. . A gear 17 is fixed to the rotating support shaft 15, and the gear 17 meshes with a gear 19 of an input shaft of a generator 18 installed in the bracket 16.
The generator 18, like the generator 10 for the lifting shaft 3, is capable of producing an output in either forward or reverse rotation.
The output cable 20 of the generator 18 is taken out to the outside through the lifting shaft 3.

Next, a method of converting wave energy will be explained. A floating body 4 of a wave energy extraction device is floated on the water surface l as shown in FIG. The horizontal sway of the waves is caused by the floating body 4 being the rotational support shaft 1.
By swinging in the forward and reverse directions around the axis 5, the input shaft of the generator 18 in the bracket 16 is converted into forward and reverse rotation, and is taken out from the generator 18 as an electrical output. The up-and-down movement of the waves is converted into forward and reverse rotation of the nut 7 as the lifting shaft 3 moves up and down together with the floating body 4, and is extracted as electrical output from the generator 10. Since the elevating shaft 3 and the nut 7 are screwed together via the sphere 6, the elevating shaft 3 can freely and smoothly move up and down. In this way, it is possible to extract the energy from both the horizontal and vertical movement of the waves.

Generally, when using the rocking motion of a floating body, it is effective to utilize the state in which the floating body swings best, and for this purpose, it is necessary to synchronize the natural period of the floating body and the period of the waves. On the other hand, the period of waves changes with time, but according to this embodiment, water is supplied and discharged into the floating body 4 by the pump 21,
Since the natural period of the floating body 4 can be changed by changing the center of gravity of the floating body 4, it is possible to always achieve synchronization and extract wave energy effectively.

Although the generators 10 and 18 are used in the above embodiment, rotary pumps may be used instead of the generators 10 and 18. In this case, a rotary pump is used that discharges the working fluid by either forward or reverse rotation of the input shaft.

The present invention can be carried out as described above, and according to this, a floating body that is swingably attached to the lower end of a vertically movable vertical axis is floated on the water surface, and the rocking of the floating body and the vertical movement of the vertical axis are controlled by gears. Since the output is taken out as the output of a generator or pump via a ball screw mechanism, it is possible to convert both the horizontal and vertical motion of waves with a simple and compact device. The natural period can be tuned to the wave period, and the floating body is rotatably supported and plate-shaped reinforcing ribs are provided on four sides, so that the floating body is oriented in the direction that receives the greatest resistance from waves. Therefore, effective energy conversion can be performed.
