Traditionally, single glass has been used as the front glass for aquariums and other aquariums, but especially when the aquarium is filled with fish and shellfish from cold regions and the water in the tank is being cooled, the front glass of the aquarium is Not only did moisture adhere to the lens, impairing transparency, but also condensed water flowed, which was not desirable. Therefore, as a preventive measure, it has been considered to change the single glazing glass to double glazing glass, but the commonly used double glazing glass uses hollow aluminum members as spacers, which puts pressure on the glass plate. In addition, the seal is not perfect for use in places where the glass plate bends due to pressure, and moisture can easily enter the sealed space formed by the glass plate and spacer, resulting in internal condensation. This resulted in the product being unusable.

In view of the above-mentioned drawbacks, the present invention involves joining a solid part and a hollow part vertically, disposing a spacer with a recess formed in the joined part around the periphery between a plurality of glass plates, and applying a primary sealing material to the recess. The space surrounded by the glass plate and the spacer is filled with a second sealing material, and an edge protector is inserted around the outer periphery of the glass plate, which significantly improves pressure resistance and airtightness, and prevents pressure from being applied. Ideal for use anywhere.

The materials of the primary sealing material 8, secondary sealing material 9, and tertiary sealing material 11 are not particularly limited, but as the primary sealing material 8, butyl rubber, which has slightly inferior adhesive strength but excellent moisture shielding properties, is used; It is necessary to select sealing materials that take advantage of the characteristics of each sealing material, such as a polysulfide resin with excellent oil resistance and aging resistance as the secondary sealing material 9, and a silicone resin with good thermal stability and elasticity as the tertiary sealing material 11. It is.

Furthermore, when filling the recess 5 with the sealing material 8, a predetermined amount of the sealing material is applied to the recess 5 in advance and the spacer 2 is filled with the sealing material 8.
In order to join the glass plates 1 and 1', a groove 1 is formed on the side surface of the solid part 3 as a relief part for the excess sealing material.

As described above, the present invention improves the pressure resistance of double-glazed glass by using a spacer that includes a solid part and a hollow part, and also forms a recessed part at the joint between the solid part and the hollow part. By applying the primary sealant, the adhesion area of the primary sealant can be increased, and good sealing is possible even with butyl rubber, which is suitable as the primary sealant and has somewhat poor adhesive strength. By selecting the material, airtightness and durability can be improved, and at the same time, the edges of the glass plate can be protected and a double-glazed glass with high strength can be provided.
